23.01.2022 D O Y O U HAVE time for a story? Sometimes a piece of jewellery is more than just that... More than something pretty to wear. This is one of those pieces. Now, I began this ring back in 2015 with the idea of making a ring embossed with a lace ribbon that my husband's Nonna made, which we used to tie our wedding rings together on our big day. The idea was to turn it into a permanent reminder of my wedding day that was also wearable. I started it but didn't complete it as... other events like two beautiful children took over my world. Until now it has sat in a plastic container and moved house with me twice. In that time I also had my wedding ring set, which featured a pearl, stolen. Last night and tonight I rediscovered, fixed and modified her to the ring you see pictured. My new wedding ring. A ring that holds the history of the day we said I do and that actually held our rings together as our family blessed them. A ring that showcases an Albany Akoya pearl from my husband and his uncles first harvest and one of the first pearls I learnt to set. The same pearls that ignited my passion for jewellery again.
