11.01.2022 I'm very happy to present the 30th Anniversary Remaster of my 1989 album 'You Can Fly'. My dear friend Lyndon Kriss remastered the whole album and has done an outstanding job! It sounds richer, stronger, warmer and features greater detail and audio fidelity. For a long time I didn't properly celebrate this significant life achievement. I regret that now as it was a wonderful labour of love by so many exemplary musicians and friends. We all worked so hard to make the bes...t album we could. My lifelong battle with depression and anxiety plus I suppose, the overwhelming financial burden of the project, would have been the reasons why I didn’t hold ‘You Can Fly’ in the correct esteem. Im older now and I like to think wiser. I’m immensely proud of this work and think it stands up well even 30 years later. The quality of the recording is excellent. It was recorded at Metropolis Audio which used to be in South Melbourne. So many classic Aussie albums were recorded there including most of John Farnham’s albums. In fact, I tracked my vocals with the same vocal mic John used to record ‘Your The Voice. It didn’t make me sound like him but still. My hope is that you will listen and find connection with and meaning from these songs. 05.01.2022 Awesome experiences are worth waiting for. Today my dear friend Tanya Felli recorded the vocal for a song we co-wrote in 2011. I love Tanya with all my heart! She is an amazing human being. The song we’re working on is called ‘Where Would I Be’ (Without You Jesus) and Tanya’s songwriting, creative arrangement ideas and vocals are exemplary. This is all taking place in Doctor Spikey Singline’s Studio another one of my dearest friends. Love you Mate!
