Hello friends, Here is our latest update on the GreazeFest 2020, in relation to the challenges we are facing due to the coronavirus.... New Dates We are happy to announce the festival postponement dates are as follows: * Friday November 20, 7pm to 12am * Saturday November 21, 10am to 10pm * Sunday November 22, 9am to 6pm The venue is the same, Redland Showgrounds, Cleveland, Queensland. GreazeFest Tickets Tickets to GreazeFest are now on sale for the new dates on the web site www.greazefest.com If you have already purchased GreazeFest tickets, your tickets have been automatically transferred to the new dates. If you are unable to attend on Nov 20 to Nov 22, you are welcome to apply for a refund. Please let us know via email at [email protected]. International Guests As you would know, Australia’s international borders are currently closed to non-residents. Whether they remain closed to overseas visitors later in the year is difficult to predict. If so, this closure may impact the arrival of our international bands and artists to GreazeFest. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully and keep you informed as we roll. Workshop Tickets The international travel restrictions may affect the Von Hot Rod and Shannon Brooke workshops at GreazeFest. We are placing the workshops on hold and won’t issue any more entry tickets at this stage. You can list your name as ‘interested’ in either workshop and we will contact you when we know for certain that our guests can enter Australia. If you have already purchased a ticket to a workshop, please keep your ticket until we have further information. Or if the new dates don’t suit you, you are welcome to apply for a refund at [email protected]. What’s Next? The situation we face with the coronavirus pandemic is evolving daily. While we can’t predict what the next few months will bring, we can promise that we will keep you informed, as we work towards the new GreazeFest dates in November. 18.01.2022 Update Sat March 14 2020: For fans and supporters of GreazeFest 2020 (July 31 to Aug 2), here’s an update on the event with regards to the Coronavirus and the government’s latest advice on large-scale events. GreazeFest is currently four and half months away. We are hoping for all concerned (bands, tours, artists, hot rodders, staff, etc) that the event will still go ahead on our scheduled dates. ... We are working on the situation as it evolves and we will know more in the coming weeks. If you have bought a ticket for the GreazeFest and we have to cancel or postpone, rest assured you will be fully refunded. We are taking the virus seriously and we have only the highest consideration for the health and safety of everyone involved with the event. We are currently working on rescheduling the GreazeFest for later in the year (Oct / Nov). There are many factors to consider regarding rescheduling and we will update you on the new dates as soon as possible.... 06.01.2022 Announcing: Jesse Dayton (USA) Texan outlaw honky-tonk rocker heading downunder Jesse Dayton is a powerhouse guitar-slinger from Texas who delivers the outlaw country traditions of his home state while harbouring an affinity for heavier bands such as The Clash and AC/DC.... In a decades long career, including forming two rockabilly bands, the Road Kings and the Alamo Jets, Dayton established himself as a solo artist, recording his Americana-chart-topping record Raisin’ Cain, and releasing thirteen independent albums. Jesse Dayton has worked with many legendary artists including Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and the Supersuckers. Dayton has always wanted to tour Oz. The Hot Rod Belle A high-octane, hot-rod rockin’ pinup contest for the wild at heart, this is where you can show off the hot rod and rockabilly lifestyle, from double-denim to King Cry Baby cool, thi...s parade will be scorching hot and supercharged. Hosted by Bettie Butcher - The GreazeFest Pageants will be hosted by Bettie Butcher, the Hostess with the Mostess, who has been producing pageants and supporting the pinup scene across Australia for the past ten years.
