17.01.2022 ORTHODOX GOOD FRIDAY & EASTER MESSAGE from the Premier of South Australia and Assistant Minister to the Premier. May you and your family be blessed with the go...odness of Good Friday on this auspicious day and always. On this graceful occasion, hope that God's love fills your heart and soul. On This Holy Day. May His Light Guide Your Path. May His Love Grace Your Heart. ... On behalf of the Government of South Australia, we wish to convey our best wishes to everyone who is celebrating Easter in the Orthodox tradition. For Christians, Easter is a time to celebrate the most important words of the Christian faith He is Risen! Christians everywhere can draw strength and heart from these words. They are a message of hope and of victory even over death itself. In the Orthodox faith, Easter is the most sacred observance. In 2021, Orthodox Easter Sunday falls on 2 May. Easter, the celebration of the brilliant Resurrection of the Lord, is an important time for the Greek and other Orhodox communities of South Australia. In the face of despair and uncertainty, Easter is a time of hope. It is hope that has kept us united and strong over the most difficult times during the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, during Easter, we were kept apart from our loved ones, away from the all-night services and celebration. This year, living in a safe place like South Australia, we are grateful that the observance of traditional customs and religious services that SA Orthodox communities cherish dearly can once again be honoured and fulfilled. This Easter, we convey our sincere best wishes to everyone in the Greek community and other orthodox communities as it is a time to rejoice with optimism. We wish you a peaceful Good Friday and Easter with blessings of good health and joy to your family and community. May you all enjoy the passage to a new day, a new beginning. Hon. Steven Marshall MP Premier of South Australia Hon. Jing Lee MLC Assistant Minister to the Premier
