23.01.2022 ! Christ is Risen! ! He is risen indeed! "...O Death, where is your sting? O Hell, where is your victory? Christ is risen, and you are overthrown. Christ is risen, and the demons are fallen. Christ is risen, and the angels rejoice. Christ is risen, and life reigns. Christ is risen, and not one dead remains in the grave. For Christ, being risen from the dead, is become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. To Him be glory and domini...on unto ages of ages. Amen." Except of the Paschal sermon of St John Chrysostom, read at all Orthodox churches around the world at the end of the service. We pray that this year's "non traditional" Pascha celebration will be spiritually uplifting. As our archbishop Makarios noted in his paschal address, that we remember our neighbour in our journey in life to salvation with the risen Christ.

20.01.2022 A blessed Sunday of Orthodoxy - first Sunday of Lent. Today bring an icon with you to church to celebrate this triumph. The Sunday of Orthodoxy is the first Sunday of Great Lent. The dominant theme of this Sunday since 843 has been that of the victory of the icons.... In that year the iconoclastic controversy, which had raged on and off since 726, was finally laid to rest, and icons and their veneration were restored on the first Sunday in Lent. Ever since, this Sunday has been commemorated as the "Triumph of Orthodoxy" May it be blessed!

18.01.2022 The Holy and Great Thursday night service of the Twelve Gospels reaches a climax when the crucified Christ is brought in the centre of the church and the priest chants: Today He who hung the earth upon the waters is hung on the tree, The King of the angels is decked with a crown of thorns. He who wraps the heavens in clouds is wrapped in the purple of mockery.... He who freed Adam in the Jordan is slapped on the face. The Bridegroom of the Church is affixed to the Cross with nails. The Son of the virgin is pierced by a spear. We worship Thy passion, O Christ. We worship Thy passion, O Christ. We worship Thy passion, O Christ. Show us also Thy glorious resurrection. May we be blessed to continue on our Lord's journey tomorrow and look forward to the ressurection!

08.01.2022 6th of January - Feast day of The Holy Epiphany - The Feast of the Holy Theophany (Epiphany) of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ is celebrated each year on January 6. The Feast commemorates the Baptism of Christ and the divine revelation of the Holy Trinity. At the Baptism of Christ, all three Persons of the Holy TrinityFather, Son, and Holy Spiritwere made manifest. Thus, the name of the Feast is Epiphany, meaning manifestation, or Theophany, meaning manifestation of G...od. As this is the feast day of our local church, the church services will be as follows: 5th of January 7pm (eve of the feast): Service of the Holy Unction 6th of January 7:30am: Matins, divine liturgy and holy water blessing (sanctification). Holy water will be available onsite at our church. In the interest of all attending, please speak to our church officials for appropriate seating at church. God willing, we will try and have a live feed video of both services. This year unfortunately we will not be conducting the ceremony of the blessing of the waters at Frankston pier as is our normal tradition. God willing, next year we once again will bless the waters together at the Frankston pier. A blessed enlightenment for us all.

08.01.2022 Palm Sunday!! God bless you all!!

04.01.2022 Blessed Sunday of the Holy Cross. With the help of God, we have almost reached the middle of the course of the Fast, where our strength has been worn down through abstinence, and the full difficulty of the labour set before us becomes apparent. Therefore our holy Mother, the Church of Christ, now brings to our help the all-holy Cross, the joy of the world, the strength of the faithful, the staff of the just, and the hope of sinners, so that by venerating it reverently, we mig...ht receive strength and grace to complete the divine struggle of the Fast. Apolytikion of Sun. of the Holy Cross in the First Tone Lord, save Your people and bless Your inheritance, granting our rulers to prevail over adversaries, and protecting Your commonwealth by Your Cross.
