25.01.2022 On this day 8th October 1838 Theodore Kolokotronis delivered a famous speech at Pnyka, Acropolis Athens to young students, about his part in the struggle & fight for Greek Independence and his hopes for their future. He ended his speech with "It is up to you to equalize and adorn the place where we liberated; and, in order to do that, you must have as the foundation of the state unity, religion, the cultivation of the Throne and prudent freedom. I end my speech. Long live o...ur King Otto! Long live the wise teachers! Long live the Greek Youth!
