19.01.2022 BLOOMING WREATH FLOWERS The Mullewa Visitor Centre is very happy to report the iconic wreath flowers are now blooming. "They were a bit slower this year beca...use we've had a really cold winter but there's still hundreds out there and they look really good," Holly Freeman from the Community Resource Centre said. "We get them out at the Pindar-Beringara Rd but we do encourage people if they're coming out to Mullewa to see them pop into the visitor centre first and we'll give you a map and really good directions where to find them." 17.01.2022 Love these flowers - yet to see one in real life though. Called the Prairie Smoke Flower or, in Brazil, the Rose de Saron. Looks like candyfloss.

15.01.2022 These are the days of Miracles and Wonder... This achievement makes the flower the oldest plant ever recovered, beating the old record by a full 30,000 years. T...he seed itself had been damaged, most likely from the squirrel, but enough material was left to produce the flower. More info: http://bit.ly/182OuaM

02.01.2022 1. Go to the woods. Bring a cone. 2. Put the cone in a pot - so that most of it stands out. 3. Pour it every day with a small amount of water, as excess wate...r makes the cones rot. 4. After some time, a tiny tree will appear. 5. Congratulations - they just started oxygen production and you have a piece of forest in your own home.. You're doing something for nature, and you'll see what nature does for you..... Perfect project for the kids too!
