25.01.2022 The after video from the latest job completed. See previous video for the before

24.01.2022 Has this summer heat given you the urge to update (or build) your pool / deck? Cause SAME! This deck is actually called ‘modwood’. Modwood or Trex are an alternative to real wood and have a great lifespan and a lot easier maintenance. The trade off is they are about 2.5x more expensive per lm than traditional timber decking. We also updated the privacy screening on this home (so important for families ) along with adding plants (for even more added privacy!)

23.01.2022 The only way to get rid of a wasp nest here in Australia .. wait for it

23.01.2022 Last weeks job was another great before and after, with tight job access around a pool. Hot days, hard digging, pipes from the pump and the constant risk of falling in, we managed to install the block concrete retaining wall with sprayed Galvanised posts to give this pool area a much needed facelift.

23.01.2022 Before video of a backyard we started on Monday.

23.01.2022 First day on site for this two week project.

22.01.2022 Some before and afters of a new house block landscape project we did a few weeks back.

22.01.2022 The end of day 2, starting to take shape...

21.01.2022 Had a great day seeing George and Dan at Great Advice and giving their business frontage a little facelift.

20.01.2022 Chris Louange joining the Christmas Crew for the weekend and finishing up for the year in style.

20.01.2022 Garden Revamp - 3 day project, Day 1

20.01.2022 Like many propertys, this home had landscaped front and back yards, but the side access of homes are often forgotten about. Nothing much to look at and not really a usable space, our client now has a 6m deck flowing out from the lounge room/kitchen areas and has made their side access a new living area where everyone will want to spend time.

17.01.2022 Reposting the original video from day one of this small courtyard. We had completed everything a few months ago except we were waiting for the concrete to cure before painting and our custom screen order to come through. Finished video to follow...

17.01.2022 We had a great little pool garden project for our clients Kerry and Gary. Check out the before and afters... Kerry was after a paver path with a twist, to make it look like a meandering dry river bed. We really packed in as much as we could for our limited space to create this colourful transformation. Very happy with our finish and happy clients

17.01.2022 Check out the finished product!

16.01.2022 Take a look at Green Side Ups latest transformation of a courtyard in Chermside. Split levels with unusable space, unit buildings looking down, and a rather uninviting aesthetic, weve created a space that hits every mark, is low maintenance and can be enjoyed day and night, rain or shine.

16.01.2022 A little explanation of these job pics to provide insight for those interested... If not just look at the before and afters Before and afters of this small backyard fix up. When I started the job I saw that the Deck was simply modwood sleepers sitting on a crusher dust base unattached and with fall back towards the patio tiles... all a massive no no. As a result surface water washed in to the patio, and the sleepers were loose and wobbly, also beginning to bow in the mi...ddles. The turf was more weeds than anything else, the level had dropped and the species of turf originally laid, a couch, was not growing well in the shadier areas. I excavated away the crusher dust and subgrade and created a new level with correct fall, built a frame, waterproofed and installed, and screwed down the sleepers, opting to recycle them rather than replace. I stripped the backyard weeds and turf, reshaped the back yard with new underturf soil and brought the batter and levels up, fertilised and laid a sapphire buffalo turf, thick growing evergreen turf that is exceptional in shady areas but still thrives in full sun. Another happy client

14.01.2022 Getting a nice level gradient of subgrade before spreading underturf soil and turf made easy with the help of these two babies

13.01.2022 Decking for #days Have a door from your home that just leads straight to grass and want to capitalise on the space? This works perfectly to create the indoor/outdoor feel us qlders love added bonus, there’s room for some plants up the side

13.01.2022 First of 3 coats of Oil, after sanding and deck clean

12.01.2022 Not a bad view doing this job

12.01.2022 Finished result, grassy sloped courtyard converted into an entertaining area

12.01.2022 After an extended break from FB, we have lots of new pics and videos to share from the last 3 months, starting with this revamp for Clinton and Sarah. Among other works, we installed a custom vertical garden, made a sleeper letterbox, shaped new gardens and laid Empire Zoysia turf.

12.01.2022 Summertime is a great opportunity to have family and friends over for a bbq Right now I couldn’t think of a better setting for the 3 day lockdown here in Brissy Get in touch for a free quote!

12.01.2022 When that light hits JUUST right How amazing is this colorbond fence in that golden hour Also, how amazing is that added privacy and aesthetic view this fence creates now just add some plants and she’ll be perfect!

11.01.2022 Another day, another deck Lots more work still to go on the surrounds, but was a great trip down to NSW to see our friends Joel and Janine and install this deck using 86mm Black Butt Australian Hardwood.

10.01.2022 Simple and effective way to make this whole area level (great for when you’ve had a few on the patio )

09.01.2022 Day 3 complete, almost done

08.01.2022 Jordan talking through some landscape ideas for this space.

07.01.2022 Take a look at Green Side Up’s latest transformation of a courtyard in Chermside. Split levels with unusable space, unit buildings looking down, and a rather uninviting aesthetic, we’ve created a space that hits every mark, is low maintenance and can be enjoyed day and night, rain or shine.

07.01.2022 We have had another long break from social media but that means lots of new before and after shots from our last few months. This was a great transformation converting an aging outdoor patio space into this monster deck. With the deck raising the ground height, it has also now given a flow through effect from the kitchen and incorporated the servery window as it is now at a usable height. Enjoy guys

05.01.2022 Warning - lots of pics A well documented before and after with some progress shots for good measure. Big front yard overhaul, including a huge change in ground heights and some correction of drainage problems against the lower level of the house. Opened the front facade right up, with the removal of the overgrown plants, and replaced with a quaint picket fence. Enjoy scrolling

04.01.2022 Going the extra mile when the arms dont reach...

04.01.2022 Before and afters of a backyard facelift. Heights were wrong, turf was wrong and in the wrong areas, it was just wrong After excavation of subgrade, replaced with new underturf soil, fertiliser and Saphire Buffalo. Hardwood timber edge and concrete pavers and pebble laid through the side access where turf wont grow. Mulch and plants in gardens and existing hedges removed being too large for the area. Simple in design and layout but clean lines and will be easy to maintain.

03.01.2022 Completed this garden and potting station for our client this week. Butlers Concreting dug out and poured the concrete slabs prior, and then we came and did our thing. 70% UV shade cloth used with a 15yr warranty. Another happy client

02.01.2022 Even when I install a new deck, I make sure that I sand back the timber pre-clean and oil. This deck Im working on I used an 80 grit paper, and finished with a 120 grit. Even if you have a deck already but it needs a facelift, you know where to find me
