25.01.2022 Another year come and gone, this time alot of change has happened over these last 12 months. For example Green & Tidy Garden Care has grown beyond the capacity that I can manage on my own and now employees myself and a new pair of hands too. So although the boots are off again for this year, to all my current and regular customers, we look forward to seeing you and your gardens next year. To everyone else, we hope to see new faces and your gardens too in 2017.

24.01.2022 Really wish I had taken a few before photos, the mulch really tidied up the place. Spread 14 cubic metres of mulch at this home. Pros include; organic, suppresses weeds, keeps moisture in the soil and it's cheap relative to gravels. Cons; needs replacing once it's breaks down (5 years or longer).

24.01.2022 Straight forward clear out job. Couple from the mainland just wanted a clean slate to redo the garden. In a few months time I plant it back out and give them something to enjoy.

24.01.2022 All ready for some yummy warm season veggies! As soon as we are sure we'll get no more frosts this year in they'll go! Rule of thumb: Don't plant veggies out in the garden with no protection until after show day.

23.01.2022 Boots are off finally off for the last time in 2015. The first calender year for the business and I'm so fortunate that it went as well as it has. Thanks to all my clients, or anyone else that has helped along the way. Even small gestures as simple as liking a post from the page or mentioning my business to a friend go a very long way and reach more people then I could possibly imagine to reach on my own. I'm very thankful for all the work I have received this year too, from giving small yards a once over, to giving big yards regular visits and even an odd landscaping job. I look forward to seeing all my clients again in 2016 and hopefully lots of new faces too. Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year.

21.01.2022 I took the 'before photo' a little while after I had started work but thats a step up from forgetting entirely to take a before photo (which is what happens 9 times out of 10). The couple I did this job for have recently moved out of a small unit into a 3 bedroom home. Because they had no garden at the unit they have a lot of plants in pots and these citrus trees were two of those plants. Bit of decent soil, gypsum (clay breaker), compost, fertilizer, blood and bone and mulch then hey presto! Good bye old patchy lawn hello functional garden bed!

20.01.2022 One of my client's is a professional clown. This is what happens when I mow their lawn.

20.01.2022 It's a great time of year to be trimming the summer growth off Pittosporums, Privots and Loniceras etc. Please get in contact with me if you need hedges trimmed or any other garden care work done.

16.01.2022 Although not the focus of my business, I do love to indulge in some landscaping when I have the time. This little job was provided to me though @home Property Management. Please take your time to check out these before and after photos!

14.01.2022 Lawns all mowed at the Hotondo Homes display home. You should come have a walk through its hard to miss, up near the end of Tamar Rise, Riverside. Check out the lawns while you're there ;) It's open: Tuesday - Friday 12:00pm - 4:00pm... Saturday - 11:00am - 3:00pm Or by appointment if you contact Rod: Ph: 0429 525 966 Email: [email protected]

13.01.2022 Today was our last day for 2017 done and dusted. I'm incredibly proud of how this small business is growing. Thanks to all my loyal customers from previous years and new customers that I've been fortunate enough to meet this year. It's because of you all that I'm pleased to say it was possible to employ Toby for the entire 12 months. Thankfully I will continue to do so in to next year and the foreseeable future. The first year the business was established I invested in the ut...e to carry out my work. The second year I returned my father's trailer back to him and invested in my own. This year I was able to achieve the next milestone in the Green & Tidy Garden Care Saga and ditch Conner's Cape (Conner being the name for my ute and the aptly named cape being his tarp as described by Toby) and install a tool box on the back of Conner. I'm very pleased with it and believe it gives the vehicle the professional appearance that meets my customers expectations and the practical needs of Toby and I. Next year it is my ambition to purchase a commercial sized Zero-Turn mower. Alongside my regular array of work I would like to start a side of the business that caters for the maintenance of commercial sites and other large grassed areas. I would be incredibly grateful if you yourself or if anyone you know who might benefit from this service, could please show their interest by contacting me by which ever means they prefer. I hope every has a safe and merry Christmas and 2018! Cheers, Mitch.

13.01.2022 Good luck eating all that girls!

08.01.2022 A 'very nearly finished' and 'after' photo. I always forget the 'before' photo. Reduced this Pittosporum hedge by about a 3rd, 1.5M. Handy access too, the client's neighbours are getting a Bobcat in tomorrow to start the landscaping so it was now or never. Or atleast 'now, or much harder later'.

07.01.2022 I haven't had much to share of late but since my right hand man has moved in to a different field of work I've got some extra tools that I don't need. Please take a look and let know if you're interested.

05.01.2022 More before and afters, this time of some fruit tree pruning. This was a big job with two loads of green waste and most of the pruning requiring a chainsaw. Winter is the ideal time for fruit tree pruning, it makes the trees respond in spring with lots of lovely new growth. Please contact me if you have trees that have been neglected for years, or if your trees just need a tidy up. Let's get them baring fruit properly!

04.01.2022 "Abracadabra".

03.01.2022 Bees are back!

02.01.2022 The lawn from earlier today is looking a bit more under control now.

01.01.2022 I haven't been active on Facebook since my final post of 2015. But the good news is I've been flat out with work and that's why I never get to posting things. Really I just wanted to let you all know that Green & Tidy Garden Care has continued to be a successful business over the last 10 months since that farewell post. I felt like a farmer harvesting his crop in to rows while mowing this lawn. If you need your lawns and garden taken care of for you then please get in contact, preferably before it gets like this (but even if it does). Now to rake up the clippings and go over it again to tidy up.

01.01.2022 Spring is just around the corner. Give me a call before your garden goes nuts! No pressure, I just like to help out. So, 'please' give me a call.
