25.01.2022 Recent installations Seraphim Blade Q Cells Huawei Tigo Optimisers

24.01.2022 For the budget conscious we have a system available. 22 x 300 watt infinity mono perc panels (6.6 kW), Growatt inverter (5kW) supplied and installed on single storey tin roof $3490* Out of pocket Subject to final inspection Does not include meter box work

24.01.2022 Sitting here thinking about life, the universe and everything.. Did you realise that everything in your life can be pretty much paid off (owned) except utilities and food House - mortgage - paid Car - loan - paid... Phone - plan - paid Furniture etc etc etc Power is the ONLY utility that can be paid out instead of leased off the power company. Your lease payment to the power company generates their huge income and bonuses Think about that for a minute. Thats about a minute of spaces... Ok So, instead of paying a power bill of 900 a quarter on a product you will never own. Why not pay 900 a quarter paying YOUR power plant off, so YOU will have that freedom in your future.... In 5 or so years you could own your power plant and be having hassle free, bill free power... Food for thought

23.01.2022 Heres a deal! 6.6kW Australian backed powerwave panels and 5kW delta inverter $4990 out of pocket Tin roof single storey

23.01.2022 And this is why a timer is a better option... Great product buy circumvents the rules...

23.01.2022 Good, Better, Best. ( In my opinion ) Lets talk good. Growatt inverter with Canadian Solar panels.... This system has well known products. They are on the cheap end of the scale and I really dont push them too heavily through preference for quality at not much more. This system is ideal if you just want some solar up and are not looking at being in the house for a long term. Better Delta and Seraphim Blade 330 panels I like this system. Delta are a very nice inverter and quite efficient. The Seraphim 330 Blades are a very good residential panel with a 15 year warranty - do not mistake these for the 400 series. Completely different kettle of fish. This system will perform very well and meet all expectations. Best Huawei inverter and Q Cells panels Dont get me wrong - there is still better on the market. What I have found is there are the best for the price range. The Huawei inverter has an outstanding 10 year parts and labour warranty. Q Cells panels - well they speak for themselves. Why dont I have Fronius inverter in the best? Fronius only has a 5 year parts and labour warranty with an extended 5 years parts only, whereas Huawei has a 10 year parts and labour warranty Fronius is fan cooled and can be noisy, Huawei is heat sink cooled and quiet. Fronius can get gecko ingress (haha) no seriously, those little buggers get into everything that has any opening. There have been cases of geckos getting into the Fronius inverters and their is no warranty for burn out due to gecko. Other than that, Fronius are awesome. I am not against Fronius, however, when you compare the two inverters, Huawei is more efficient, not noisy and has a longer warranty. Huawei as a single phase inverter are also Hybrid. So one day, possibly many light years away, when batteries become viable, you can plug them straight in. Over and above these, we have panels like LG or similar pabels to Q Cells like REC, Winaico and Sunpower P series There are also Australian options - Mil Solar and Tindo Happy to discuss solar needs for individual properties. These examples are just popular choices and pretty much a yard stick for system size and price estimation.

20.01.2022 Summer is coming Solar Vents Solarking solar vents move as much air as 21 whirly birds... $399 each DIY $598 installed Solar Power Solar is producing well now with the cool weather and sunny days. There are some great prices on mid spec gear. Do your homework with electrical retailers. Current feed in prices vary greatly between retailers. I have seen from 7c up to 16.1c in the last couple of weeks. Queensland has no regulated minimum it maximum feed in.

19.01.2022 Solar panels are tested to withstand hail at 25mm and 23m/s Our storm that decimated my house and cars in Greenbank on 31st Oct had hail stones well over this size All solar panels sold in Australia to be on the CEC approved list are tested to withstand impact of the type and force that Australian Standards dictate.... Various manufacturers use differing levels of protection and product development and manufacturing standards. Each panel will have a rating based on the Australian standards and the manufacturers testing. The size of some of the hail was way above what is tested for or specified. The standards; Hail testing is mandatory under Australian and international PV standards. IEC 61215 and IEC 61645 for crystalline and thin film modules respectively require modules to survive 25mm diameter ice balls fired at 23m/s on 11 points across the module for the Moderate Hail Test (Class MH) or 75mm under the Severe Hail Damage Resistance Test (Class SH) (TUV Rheinland 2009).

16.01.2022 Great review: Hi Solarking, These fans are rated at 2100 CBM per hour or as advertised 21 times the volume of a wind driven fan. That being the case why are three recommended for a 20+ square house? Wouldnt that be the equivalent of 63 wind driven fans?? - Mike. Mike, Whirlybirds are not designed to reduce your roof temperature and if you want to depend on whirlybirds you definitely need plenty of them. For 20 square House you need two units not 3. You can expect 10-20 deg...rees temperature difference after installing the units. - Solarking. Solarking, Thanks but really didnt address the question. If they remove more air (21 times) than a whirlybird (that also removes air). Shouldnt they be 21 times more efficient at removing hot air and drafting in cooler air? My house 20+ squares is actually 28 squares. Dont understand the comment that whirlybirds are not designed to reduce roof temp??? - Mike. Mike, Yes our units are 20x more efficient than Whirlybirds and it extract more air for sure. It also pushes the cooler air into roof space through eve vents, which whirlybirds cant do. When the hot air replaced by cooler air, it will reduce your roof and inside temperature. Your house would be much cooler and fresh than the normal. If your house is 28 Squares you need 3 units. We recommend one unit for every 10 squares because, when there is 40 to 45 degrees days you still feel the difference. - Solarking. After one week... "Just got two of these Solarking solar powered vents installed at my Gold Coast home. They do work well. I had a lot of questions prior to installation but these were all answered fully. I recommend these units without reservation. Great product and excellent service from my local installer Greenbank Solar - Mike Braithwaite, Gold Coast.

15.01.2022 Solar return on investment

15.01.2022 Another happy customer Just a quick thank you to Scott Leaver and the guys at Greenbank Solar, they recently installed a Solar System for us, very happy, they completed a quality installation, turned up on time. Highly recommend

14.01.2022 under $20 a week in payments - above $30 a week in savings.. Solar makes sense

13.01.2022 Spot the hail damaged panel not all damaged panels are visible to the eye.. It is very important when you are looking to have your system repaired post hail that it is inspected properly and a report is written on the system condition - seen and unseen, so you don't have issues down the track....

12.01.2022 Ill just leave this here ...... :-)

11.01.2022 Why solar on finance is important TODAY. I will start with a couple of very common assumptions - which will be very understated in the months ahead as we are all home. $700 Quarterly Power Bill... 50% of the solar power that is generated being used by yourself and 50% going to the grid Ok, to start this off. A loan through Brighte can be up to 84 Months. We are working on this term. Note, you can pay your loan out early without early payout fees. The system price we will work off is $5490 The FORTNIGHTLY payments are approximately $44 ( $22 weekly ) The system, based on the above figures will save you an estimated $40 WEEKLY ( 80 fortnightly ) After your loan payment of $22 a week, you have a further saving of $18 a week!!! your power bill has gone down by an estimated $550 from $700 a quarter to $150. Your quarterly loan payment is an estimated $286 $150 power bill after solar + $286 estimated payment on loan $436 total money paid for the quarter $700 old electricity bill $264 realised savings per quarter Putting solar on your house, even if it is only a 6.6 ( that we can expand on in the future ) , puts money in your pocked. This is such an important message in these uncertain times, as something as simple as putting solar on your house can help you out by over $500 in the next 6 months. For a customised quote to work out where you sit with solar, please message us directly.

11.01.2022 Reverse tilts Generally if you are hard up for room, installing on the south side in Brisbane is still ok. Installing reverse tilts is a waste of time and money. The salesman sells you the dream - lets put the on the back of this roof and tilt them north...... The back of the roof is still shaded by the roof peak as the sun comes up. The top panel will shade the lower panel until sun is in the right position, so you do not get awesome production out of them. If it is south side, flat install, more panels.. A correctly designed and installed solar system will always give you what the system designer - not candy ass salesman - estimates. Putting an ugly shitshow on your roof adds commission to a salesmans pocket and an eyesaw to your property

09.01.2022 My home analytics for the week Love summer savings..

09.01.2022 I had grand plans to put forward an informative post today as I have kept 3 systems from the last week of failed panels here at home to test and give you the results on why they have failed. unfortunately - yesterday i was working down the coast and today it is not good weather for panel testing i will put up a few pics of a system removed yesterday. the panels at old 190 watt mono which were circa 2011 from memory.... The photos: micro cracks - or snail trails - these, the manufacturers say, do not effect the performance of the panels - interesting though, some of the micro cracks look fine, but some look to have oxidation in them .. hot spots. there is a photo showing a yellow tinge to the white backing - that is right in front of the J Box. That J Box i opened and photographed, it is meant to be IP67 and you can clearly see oxidation and marks from excessive heat .

08.01.2022 When considering solar, there is generally a checklist to go through. Some people have 2 things on their list, others a few more. 1/ Panels... 2/ Inverter What are the other things? 0/ Pre sale communication 0.1/ Education 0.2/ Site and bill analysis 0.3/ Detailed site plan with return on investment data 3/ Installation 4/ After sales ( A lot of these simple things are actually a requirement with the Clean Energy Council ) People are lead to believe a 6.6 kW solar system will remove a $500-$600 power bill. Put simply, IT WONT. Most people have bills from $700 to over $1100, so a small 6.6 is like a helping hand or band-aid, not a solution Even with Feed in changing a larger system will still have a very strong return on investment. Solar is about education, understanding and changing your life to suit your power production. Components in solar also vary immensely. I have attached an image taken from www.solarquotes.com.au It shows reputable panels and inverters You will notice there are no budget brands on there. The interesting thing to note as well, is, Canadian, Jinko, JA, Longi, Risen and Trina all cost about the same. On the inverter side you have good, reliable options. Sungrow being the best of the cheapies. ( in my opinion ) My favourite, and what i believe to be one of the best inverters on the market with a great warranty (10 years inclusive) and awesome after sales service is the Huawei. It also shows the Australian product offerings - MIL-Solar - made in Melbourne and Tindo panels out of Adelaide When considering solar, remember it is a long term investment, and as the old analogy says, "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten" By the time a person realizes that their parent was right, they have a child who thinks they are wrong.

07.01.2022 GOT HAIL DAMAGED SOLAR? BIGGEST HAIL STORM I HAVE EVER SEEN South Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich has really copped it.... If you have had damage, turn off your AC and DC isolators then email me. [email protected] Send address and a photo and any other info you think might be important. We are able to check your system and provide a letter to your insurance company for replacement or repair. Solar on. Scott.

07.01.2022 Getting Solar Installed Is Not A Coronavirus Risk Keeping social distances Video / FaceTime appointments Sending required photos in Online/email/app contracts and signing... One thing people can do to keep the economy ticking over and people employed is to install solar power systems, whether residential or commercial. You do not have to worry about contracting coronavirus. It is a low risk activity to begin with and solar installers have adapted to the crisis by streamlining paperwork and cutting back on the need to enter homes, so now its not necessary to have any face to face contact to get it. Id say its safer than having groceries delivered. Remember, a solar system on a 84 month green loan will make more in power than its payment. Putting you in a better place financially during these unknown times ahead.

06.01.2022 I just took this from a Facebook post. Panels and inverter are only part of the install....
