Well done to Maddie who also picked up District age champion at the Southern Scorpions swimming trial. Further congratulations go to Isabella, Leila, Maddie, Isla, Kyla and Tyger who qualified against tough competition at their district trials to race at the Metwest Regional Swimming Trial in late February. 21.01.2022 Im sure we have all been watching the news in regards to COVID19. As a committee we have had a meeting (with those able to attend) and with further information coming over the past couple of days, we have decided to suspend the rest of our 2019 / 2020 season. Unfortunately that means no club championship night or presentation night. However, we will postpone our presentation night and hopefully coincide this with our 2020/2021 sign on, late in Term 3. We will email families in the coming days with more information. Stay safe everyone in these uncertain times, and we look forward to an even better 2020 / 2021 season.

21.01.2022 Hi parents and carers, Club will be proceeding as usual this evening. We understand that some of you may have been impacted by the heavy rain today and may be unable to make it along. Your safety is of upmost importance so ‘if it’s flooded forget it’ and enjoy a night off from club this week! Next week is our Club Championships - I will be sending more info out tonight. Thanks GGSC Committee

07.01.2022 Hi parents & carers, Please note we have decided to cancel club night tonight, Tuesday 17 March. We feel this is in the best interests of the health and safety of our swimmers, parents/carers and wider community given the current escalation of COVID19. We will assess the situation later in the week and advise on any further cancellations. Thank you for understanding and stay safe.

07.01.2022 Earlier this afternoon, the Queensland Premier announced some further easing of restrictions for Stage 5 of the Roadmap. From 4PM, Tuesday 17 November, there ar...e a number of changes in effect. What do these Stage 5 changes mean for Queensland’s Clubs/Regions? What we know is, those following an approved COVID Safe Plan or COVID Safe Checklist will be able to have one patron per 2 square metres (for both indoor and outdoor areas). You must ensure you continue to practice physical distancing and stay 1.5m away from the next patron, whenever possible. COVID Safe Industry Plans and the Industry Framework for COVID Safe Events continue to apply. Swimming Queensland will continue to work with the appropriate authorities and communicate any additional changes if/when they occur. Once the finer details of today’s announcement are investigated, all changes will be reflected in the documents and resources available on the COVID Advice to Clubs page of the website. If you have any questions, please email us. https://qld.swimming.org.au/news-arti/covid-19-advice-clubs
