25.01.2022 *** Cotton Velour Back IN STOCK *** Some wouldn't realize we were out of stock of cotton velour, some may have seen we haven't had any 10mts options for a few months. A week ago, we got in a new batch of Cotton Velour, with perfect timing the day before the last piece we had on our shelf shipped out. We wish going between batches was always that seamless.... So, yes it is a new batch of Cotton Velour now. And yes all measurements are back in stock. It also means odds and ends will be showing up as we get into cutting out the new batch and filling up the shelf. https://gbau.com.au/cotton-velour-products.html

24.01.2022 We get asked from time to time about how to dye polyester fabrics. Often, can we get your PUL and dye it another colour? The truth is, to fix colour in Polyester fibers, there is only one way - heat - you need to heat it to 350 degrees centigrade for 3 hours. The only way you can exceed 100 degrees is with a pressure cooker - and is exactly how colour is fixed in polyester in a factory setting.... Dye machines are either 300kg or 500kg in size. The fabric is sewn together in one continuous loop, so it can be stirred during the 3 hours it is heated up at extreme heats and keep things moving - with a motor in the head keeping the continuous loop of fabric moving in the dye solution. Waiting for the day when a customer sends us their rigged up pressure cooker that has an internal stirring mechanism on their kitchen stove so they can dye polyester at home. This is what a dye machine looks like. One big, 3mts high, pressure cooker.

24.01.2022 The year of shipping containers continues. Today for a first, another full container is dropped off while at the same time last weeks empty container is picked up and taken away.

23.01.2022 Mid November update @ GBAU At GBAU - we continue to work, filling the shelves and dispatching orders daily. Some level of normality has been creeping in the past month or so from the mad year 2020 has been. If you have not already, you should be looking at stocking up now of your needs to see you through the Christmas period, to take the pressure off all the couriers coming into the peak period of December.... *** Bamboo Container *** A full container of Bamboo is in Australian waters - and due to rock up to our warehouse on November 25th. 20kg bulk rolls of Bamboo are open for pre-orders already - so you can get your name on a roll to ship out straight out of the container. *** Microfleece Container *** A full container of 150 & 180gsm White Microfleece is currently being loaded in China and planned to land at our warehouse December 17th. Pre-orders for 20 & 40mts rolls will open up December 5th to ship out as soon as the container arrives. 1/2mts-10mts pieces will come open for orders from Wednesday 6th January. We don't expect to be cutting out any of the bulk rolls until Wednesday 6th January. Either stock up on pre-cut 180gsm we have now - or look to order 20 or 40mts bulk rolls to ship to you last December out of the container. *** 2021 Bulk Production *** Over the coming weeks and months, through until the end of February - our attention quickly moves to looking at the 2021 production plan and schedule. It rapidly becomes a very busy period. With 2020 production not yet finished - it feels like one massive ongoing treadmill we are running on. But there will be a noticeable gap with no new stock arriving over the early part of 2021 while 2021 production is put into place after the Chinese New Year holiday.

23.01.2022 *** PUL Container Lands Thursday *** So the year of Containers continues for GBAU. We have 2 shipping containers due over the next 7 days. Both are full of PUL.... The First is Thursday this week - Thursday 1st October. The second is due Wednesday next week - Wednesday 7th October. So the next couple of weeks, will be busy filling the shelf of all the new and returning colours of PUL. But these 2 containers are only 11 of the 24 colours we are producing this year, so we have another 13 colours to come still. These containers do contain a massive amount of White, which is set to keep us in stock past July 2021. Including 20 & 40mts rolls of White coming back in stock.

23.01.2022 All Shiny FOE discounted further to $0.10 per meter until cleared. That is $0.50 for 5mts, $1.00 for 10mts or $2.20 for 22mts options. Colours are White, Baby Blue, Baby Pink, & Periwinkle. 22mts options only left in Baby Blue.... Jump in and stock up before it is all gone. https://gbau.com.au/20mm-shiny-foe.html

21.01.2022 *** MAJOR BAMBOO ANNOUNCEMENT *** * 40% off BULK ROLLS/BAILS ALL THE TIME! * * SHIPMENTS MOVING FROM ANNUAL TO JUST IN TIME IN AUSTRALIA *...Continue reading

19.01.2022 We are always updating the Clearance/Odds & Ends section on our website. So if you were looking at it earlier, it may pay to take another look now as everything has been freshly updated. https://gbau.com.au/nappy-fabric/odds-ends.html

19.01.2022 *** BLACK Suedecloth is Back! *** #BackinBlack We have more Suedecloth in stock - and not just White Suedecloth - but Black Suedecloth is back after being out of stock a couple of years now.... It is all ready to ship now - with 20 & 40mts rolls of it at 20% off - so $208 for 20mts, and $416 for 40mts. Or 1/2-10mts are all pre-cut and on the shelf ready to ship out. https://gbau.com.au/suedecloth-products.html

17.01.2022 Brisbane to Rockhampton drop off run Next Saturday - 28th November - we are looking at driving from Brisbane to Rockhampton leaving around 6am and arriving in Rockhampton around 2pm. Would anyone be interested in doing a pick up order - picking it up from us enroute along the A1 at locations like service stations or rest areas?

17.01.2022 *** Low Stock - White Microfleece *** Currently we are almost out of stock in 150gsm and are very low of 180gsm White Microfleece. We are currently trying to get another production underway to land just prior to Christmas Day.... Right now, stocking up with White Microfleece to last yourself until Christmas Day would be wise - as there will be a period where we have no stock prior to the Christmas Day container rocking up. Alternatively, you can look at ordering product to ship ex New Zealand off our New Zealand website. Shipping for that starts at $50 which is the only downside.

16.01.2022 *** Pre-orders open soon for PUL *** Note 20 & 40mts at discounted prices - including White will be loaded at the same time. These will also ship sooner than pre-cut 1/2-10mts pieces The following colours of PUL will come in tomorrow and be available to pre-order today:... White Ivory Nude/Taupe/Natural Dark Chocolate Candy Pink Blaze Orange Green Apple Hot Pink Baby Pink Kelly Green Celery Periwinkle (Medium Blue) Red While pre-orders will be open, it is a matter of how quickly we can get a given colour cut before another as to how many days it will take for us to ship out your order. But we would like to thin there wouldn't be any noticeable delay for customers as we work through cutting some of all colours to fill orders. https://gbau.com.au/nappy-f/polyurethane-laminated-pul.html

13.01.2022 *** 2020 Rivet Additions *** 2020 brings a number of improvements to our rivet options at Greenbeans. Our rivets are out of production, and on their way to our packing factory for packing. What to Look out for:... 1- $8.50 per packet. All rivets will be $8.50 per packet. 5mm or 9mm - $8.50 per packet. With rivets, we will be looking to hold the price at $8.50 per packet for a few years now. However: 2- Pieces per packet will be different, depending on colour or size. While the price remains $8.50 per packet, how many in the packet will range depending on the cost price. Some of the new colours are 25% more expensive than others - some packets will contain 70 sets, while others will contain 100 sets. So you need to see if it is 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, or 100 pieces per packet when looking at the QTY. The price will be $8.50 for all. QTY will depend on size & colour. 3- New Sizes - we are adding 5mm & 7mm to the range, so we will have 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9mm size options. If you already have the current 3 we stock - there are 2 more size options coming - so start saving up for 2 more die sets now. 4- Colours: On top of our current 4 colours: Silver Rose Gold Gun Metal Antique Brass We are adding 3 new colours - in all 5 sizes. The 3 new colours are: Gold Antique Silver Antique Copper So come July/August - we will have 7 colour options over 5 sizes.

12.01.2022 *** B3 & B5 Snaps *** *** SAVE $$$ *** *** SAVE TIME *** *** SAVE ENVIRONMENT *** *** BUY IN BULK 1,000's ***... We land more snaps at GBAU on Wednesday - a top up shipment this week, with another shipment due in of Snaps next week. The abnormal shipments are due to PPE manufacturing demands in Australia that are at 600% higher demand for Kam Snaps than normal - and us needing to order in millions more snaps as a tie over until our traditional July containers. Even our July containers will contain millions more snaps than we had planned to have back in February. *** Problem: The snaps landing this Wednesday and next week are not counted into 100's - but in bulk 1,000 packs. So instead of them being counted into 100's in China, we had to get them shipped without delay and look at counting out in Australia any that need to be counted. This is going to mean we are chasing our tail until July in counting out snaps into 100's. *** Solution: We have added B3 White & B5 Black snaps on our website in lots of 1,000 options for 10% discount. While we understand you may prefer to get 100 or 2 every couple of weeks, if you can look in the long run and buy White & Black in 1,000's - you will not only be saving money, but helping out in so many ways in the current crisis. *** Save $$$ - currently we have them at 10% discount for lots of 1,000 *** Save Time - you will not be wasting all the time opening up all those small zip lock bags. 1,000's come in 4 bulk bags of 1,000 pieces each. They also come in a cardboard outer carton, not a ziplock bag. Also orders of 100's will be delayed come Wednesday until we can count them out. Orders for 1,000 will ship first and straight away. 100's may wait a few days until we finally have counted snaps to ship out. *** Save the Environment - Snaps from KAM come in 1,000 bags normally anyway. So any Snaps you buy in 1,000 vrs 100's - you are saving all the zip lock plastic bag waste. The outer bags of 1,000 bulk snaps are always going to be consumed - it is just you don't see us discarding that in the process of counting them down from 1,000 to 100's. Also - the zip lock bags we use, come from NZ. We cannot find a quality Zip Lock bag supplier in Australia. All our Zip Lock bags we use, come from a NZ supplier. So once we run out of our stock of bags in AU already, another box of bags will have to be air freighted over. However if we get enough people to buy White & Black snaps in 1,000's - this movement will be eliminated. Even if it takes you a year to go through 1,000 snaps in White or Black - buying them in bulk is going to make a huge difference for everyone and be beneficial to you. We can only encourage people to move to buying in bulk. Pre-orders are open for them now, to ship out on Wednesday as soon as we get our hands on the shipment. https://gbau.com.au/kam-size-20-snaps.html

12.01.2022 #660 The final number is in, and it is 660 DK-93 Press Machines for the sale - a new record that will be hard to beat.

07.01.2022 We finally got there! Orders were all caught up today - and finally time to catch up with admin now. Service schedule should be back to normal dispatch time frames - of orders placed by 11am shipping same day. The next few weeks, should see us putting time into pre-cutting fabric to fill the empty Bamboo & Suedecloth shelves - so plenty of odds and ends to also be listed that way over the next few weeks.... Hard slog of last three weeks have been. But we got there. Slow and steady won the race.

06.01.2022 Bamboo/Hemp is back We have 80% Bamboo/20% Hemp back in stock and ready for orders for those who have been hanging out for it. You can order here on the website:... https://gbau.com.au/bamboo-hemp-fleece.html See more

06.01.2022 With most carriers coming between noon-2pm, our back yard at GBAU gets busy when more than one carrier comes at the same time. Today at 2:30pm AU Post and E-Go arrived at the same time for their daily pick up. Max we have had is 4 carriers at the same time, with TNT also rocking up along with Fastway a few months back.... It isn’t uncommon for drivers to park up for 10 minutes at our place to catch up on paperwork or re-stack their vans, as it is one of the few places not chasing them along.

06.01.2022 *** BULK SNAPS *** A few weeks ago we created a listing for Bulk Snaps. It has been a long standing offer we have had, that only a handful of people take up - but this year it seems everyone has been taking advantage of it. Hence we have created a listing of the offer.... The offer is 10 x 100's of 10 colours for 20% discount. So instead of $500, it is discounted to $400. You get the choice of 10 colours, to order 1,000 full sets in each colour for $400 If it is what you have been looking for - the listing is here on the website: https://gbau.com.au/bulk-snaps-size-20.html

05.01.2022 Which one is bigger? On the left you have a 12mm Zelor metal ring snap - and on the right is a 12mm GreenBeans metal ring snap. The Zelor on the left is bigger by 0.04mm.... Zelor being a higher quality product has 30% more metal and an overall stronger product and why today we are testing out the new sizes as we start to drop sizes in the GreenBeans range. But the noticeable difference to the eye brings up a common question we get daily - that is can you supply a die set for this snap I got somewhere else? The question comes about from an assumption that die sets come from where you buy your press machine - which is wrong. Die sets come from where you buy your snaps from. Die sets need to be manufactured to be a negative imprint of the snap. The only person who knows the correct sizes, curves and crevices is the person who made the snap. Hence the only person who can supply you a die set is the person who sold you the snaps. There is no such thing as a universal die set. Every time you change suppliers - you also need to obtain new die sets. So as we continue the move from GreenBeans ring snaps to Zelor - you will also need to buy a new die set for the zelor range in the sizes you want to use. As you can see from the picture, the ring for the Zelor is bigger - and the circle in the middle is smaller. The Zelor unit will not fit on the GreenBeans die set as it needs a smaller middle spring to sustain it - the flip side - the GreenBeans snap is all over the Zelor die set and doesn’t set professionally with sharp bits hanging as they were fowled by having the wrong die set used. Die sets matter. The only person who can supply you a die set is the person who sold you the product you are applying.

05.01.2022 MATT FOE IS BACK! 25mm Matt FOE is back in stock at GBAU - both Black or White colour options in both options. We "hope" we have corrected the historic quality issue. Not only fixed - but further in coming up with the best FOE that is exclusive to Greenbeans.... To fix that, we have two options for customers - 40% & 71% - which relates to Polyester Content: ***40%*** 40% Polyester, 43% Nylon, & 17% Spandex. This is the proven historic FOE we had many moons ago before our supplier got excited and tweaked things (added more nylon). The underlining thing is the 40% is what everyone has liked and loved in the past. $87.50 per 125mts roll, or $2 per meter, cut to order *** 71% *** 70% Poylester / 29% Spandex This is the first FOE GBAU has had a hand in designing. We have until now sat back and left it to our suppliers to supply what everyone else is getting, and that hasn't done us well. This is a new FOE, that on paper should rock the socks off peoples needs - but one should use it knowing it is an untested blend. *** All Polyester and no Nylon Polyester locks in colour for years and years, where Nylon fades very rapidly of colour. With our strive to have components of garments to last 10 years, it is potentially possible with the 71% version, where with the 40% version colours were faded after 3-5 years. If you are wanting garments that hold their colour for the longest with FOE - the 71% on paper will deliver that. Polyester is more durable. It just lasts what is thrown at it. We have had issues with more recent batch's of FOE, and that issue came from more and more nylon being used to make it "softer" but it was just wearing out in less than a year. Going with more Polyester - you will have a product that will last longer on paper. Yet again, getting to garments that will last that 10 year time frame. Polyester doesn't wick moisture - were Nylon is a magnet for Moisture. In Nappies, Nylon absorbs. If you are looking for the best product to not have moisture wick out of the nappies and create leakage around your leg elastics - you don't want Nylon - you want Polyester. The new 71% product eliminates leaky nappy risks that other Matt FOE we have stocked in the past haven't. $70.00 per 100mts roll, or $2 per meter, cut to order You will find all options on our website to order shortly here: https://gbau.com.au/fold-over-elastic.html

05.01.2022 PUL - Pull-up Training Nappies @ GBAU With the events going around, and a shortage of nappies out there - we have released 1,000 odd Pull-up PUL pocket nappies that we manufactured a few years back with our son in mind. The middle son we have has special needs, and still at 14 we have wet bed issues - and something we have dealt with all his life and continue to. The permanent product tester at Greenbeans.... With few nappies out there being a size that can take the 600 grams of Bamboo we required every night to soak up his large bladder - we elected to rattle off the minimum qty of nappies we had to in China to get a design that would fit his small body, which isn't that small compared to a 12 month old baby. However we have had a good chunk of what we don't use ourselves, sitting in the warehouse in storage awaiting a day we choose to do something with them - it would seem that time is now. These are training/night nappies. With an oversized pocked to fit to your hearts contentment what you want to. Pull-up to assist in the child to pull up as normal pants to assist in the toilet training process. But a nappy no less to catch those oopsies. They are big, XL size, ideally for 2 plus years. This is a one off for us - and have zero plans to repeat once these are all gone. They are listed up on our website in the clearance section listed below - you can buy by themselves - or add some Absorbent fabric to use as is or sew up into inserts to go inside the pocket. Even some odds and ends Bamboo to stuff them with. https://gbau.com.au/pull-up-training-nappies.html

03.01.2022 *** Black Long Prong Snaps *** If it has slipped under your radar - 2020 we have added Long Prong snaps in B5 Black. So you can now order B5 Black Long Prong snaps, along with B3 Long Prong Snaps.... Long Prong snaps to us at GBAU is a litmus test for people to seriously re-consider the engineering of their garments. If you require a long prong snaps, often your garment is that thick that it is not going to line dry and you may encounter drying issues that could be resolved by re-designing things and only needing standard snaps. We highly advise anyone thinking about long prongs, to seriously re-consider your garment engineering and see if you can structure it a bit differently to get the layers to be thinner. However after thoroughly considering all option and you feel long prongs are your only/best option - we do have them on offer in Black now alongside White. They can be found and ordered here on our website. https://gbau.com.au/kam-long-prong-snaps.html

03.01.2022 We are always updating the Clearance/Odds & Ends section on our website. With tons of 150gsm White Microfleece being added today for example. If you were looking at it earlier, it may pay to take another look now as everything has been freshly updated. https://gbau.com.au/nappy-fabric/odds-ends.html

02.01.2022 *** Black Friday Sale *** This is it - the last sale until July. After this, is 8 months of no sales. The last chance to stock up to see yourself until July at a discounted price. At Greenbeans - we land all our stock in July - and it pays to stock up in February/March of all you need to see you through until July - as come February/March, lines do rapidly start to out of stock. So if you want to do that stock up now while the sale is on - this is honestly your last chance...Continue reading

01.01.2022 The container is unloaded, and the bulk of our stock to see us through until July 2021 is here - with the exception of PUL & Rivets. We also have more snaps on order that will come out in August/September with the PUL. This is just to be 110% sure we will not out of stock before July 2021. We also have more Braided Elastic ordered to come in August/September. And yes, we have that back on track to be the same quality as we have always been known for. We had thought the shi...pment we landed of it in January would last us until July 2021 - we were very wrong. August/September will be the final shipment/container for the year - so it will be held up/back until every last item is ready to ship out. So stocks are for the most part all back up, and ready awaiting your order today to ship it out!

01.01.2022 From time to time we get asked about removal tools for snaps. There are a few options out there that people talk about - and while these may remove the snap - they put at risk the destruction of your garment in the process also. This is because they risk adding stress onto the fabric around the hole in which the fowled snap sits. This added stress enlarges the hole in the fabric - that in turn risks any replacement snap falling out prematurely - because the hole for the singl...e prong snap is now too big. In doing so, the garment is a write off with a huge hole in it. A Soldering Iron is the only method that Kam Wah the manufacture - and ourselves advise people to use in removing snaps. It applies heat and not force to melt the snap off - and doesn't risk enlarging the hole in the garment - so any replacement snap slots in perfectly. Our video in how to do this can be found here on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsuc9t8ZKqA

01.01.2022 *** Tale from Lockdown *** Back in April this year we had an order for Snaps arrive in New Zealand - were sent as 2 cartons, B8 & B40. However NZ was in lock down in April by the time it rocked up, and our staff only went into the office once a week to dispatch "essential" orders. We had a note on the door about this and the day we were next to be in the office to ship orders.... But in the haste of the international courier - they delivered and left outside on our door step the packages. They were delivered on different days, so we got the carton of B8, but the B40 never came until we started to look for it a month latter. We found out it was delivered on the day after we were last in the office and would have sat outside for 6 days should no one have moved them. After a lot of testing discussion with the express company - we had written them off as stolen and moved on. Moved on we were until yesterday - Monday 26th October, Labour Day Monday in NZ - where out of the blue Security from the main shopping mall in Mount Maunganui (Bayfair) called us saying they had walked into the mall to find this box on their front door with our name and phone number on it - and asking us what the go/joke was? Today we popped in to pick up the carton of 20,000 Full Sets of B40 Pumpkin Orange Snaps that have had no doubt a very interesting past 6 months.
