24.01.2022 On the basis of these results the scientist advises that for walking the distance of people moving in the same direction in 1 line should be at least 45 meter, for running and slow biking it should be 10 meters and for hard biking at least 20 meters.

From Andys first personal training clients almost 9 years ago (some of you are still with us!)... To the hundreds of students that Andy taught to be personal trainers in Newcastle and surrounds...... To my first yoga students from Bonnells Bay... to Toronto Centenary Hub... and the no air-con luxury of Kilaben Bay Hall... We thank you. To the clients who became friends, who soon became family... To the gym and yoga community that then became Eoins family. To the diehard Green Body members that are the backbone of our community... and to all the friends who supported from afar... We thank you. Its been incredible. With our family growing we have made the decision to move closer to Grandparents and cousins for Eoin and baby number 2. 16.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Advice and statistics are changing fast. ... It is important to know that asymptomatic people are carrying the virus which makes this a greater risk. .... The PM has today increased travel measures by announcing self isolation for all returning travellers for 14 days and gatherings of 500 people or more are no longer allowed.... ... Currently small gatherings are allowed, and social distancing 1.5m from each other is suggested with no handshaking or unnecessary physical contact. ... Hand-washing regularly for 20 seconds and good personal hygiene is important. .. Decisions around school and other facility closures will likely be announced in the next few days. ... Current Green Body guidelines: If you are 70 years old or more, and arent in good health (heart, lung problems, current or recent illness) you are strongly advised to stay away from gym and yoga classes at the moment where you may be in close proximity to other people and/or sharing surfaces If you are 70 years old or more and healthy we wont ask you to stay away however you should be aware that you are at greater risk of serious illness should you contract the disease and so that risk is placed on you to make the decision for yourself to attend or stay away If you are planning to attend sessions as usual you must wash your hands for 20 seconds or use alcohol sanitiser prior to and after your session You are required to bring your own clean gym towel Please bring your own yoga mat and towel (if you dont have a mat you can purchase one at the major retailers or good time to invest for home practice! If using a studio mat sanitise after use with spray and wipe.) We will restrict the use of props for the time being by asking you to pick up a bolster only and lay your clean towel over it If you have a yoga block and strap at home, please bring them to class with you, you can also purchase at reception Given that hand sanitiser is scarce, if you have your own please bring it with you to use Remember that hand-washing is MORE effective that alcohol gel due to the scrubbing effect Stay away if youre unwell! 13.01.2022 #Repost @kelmoriarty I said goodbye to my yoga studio this weekend. To create this space, we (mainly Andy!) had to knock down a wall, remove large glass panels (that was scary), build a new wall, jackhammer up half the room which was originally outdoor tiles, lay a concrete base by hand, paint, lay flooring and drill in some wall ropes.... We finished this room at 2 or 3am on THE DAY WE OPENED. All good things must come to an end, and whilst I am a little sad this room already looks like an office again after just one weekend of work... I get to keep all my lovely yogis together online and I am very excited at the thought of going home. Follow my yoga here @kellymoriartyyoga ... Babysitting duties begin soon Nanny @lynnetuck ... The ability to choose an appropriate sequence for your energy, your state of health, your stage of cycle or life.... The ability to use the props in ways that are supportive to rest and to understanding. The ability to see yourself, to refine your senses, to feel and to adjust your poses intelligently. 03.01.2022 Did you know that shoulder pain is one of the most common injuries in the gym, particularly in sports like crossfit. The shoulder is an interesting joint in that it requires a balance of muscles at both the front and the back to keep the joint healthy and moving freely. And given that most of us spend our days hunched over our computers and driving our cars or simply doing repetitive tasks, were generally tighter in our chest muscles and weaker in our back muscles.... What to do? Dont just stretch! You must work to correct the balance by improving the effectiveness of your upper back muscles and the stability of your shoulders. A good gym program should include regular shoulder stability and back work - its a MUST. You can keep training and actually improve your shoulder at the same time - Reach out in the comments or in a DM so we can talk you through it!
