25.01.2022 The eye-catching façade of this data centre we designed is cranked at an angle to accommodate the tunnel (below) setback requirements. The choice of glass for the façade allows movement and life within the building to be expressed. Inside the main entry, offices, double level stair void, indoor and outdoor breakout spaces then lead to data halls. 10.01.2022 This dynamic industrial architecture was a creative solution to a data centre to be housed on a tricky site. With a rail tunnel running underneath, GREENBOX worked within the setbacks and restrictions. The solution with the ground floor respecting the setbacks required from the boundaries and the upper floors cantilevered out over the building’s footprint, created a silver and glass sculptural form. I’ve made so many wonderful friends and learnt so many new things with the team. Every day is always so exciting! We donated our time and resource for a well-deserving pro-bono project. It was a project close to our heart, aligning with our values of curiosity, collaboration, passion and diversity, and our team’s love of animals. A lot in the world has changed since then, and the project in no longer going ahead. 02.01.2022 We love technology! Our team designed, produced and modelled this industrial building entirely in REVIT in 3D, including mechanical and electrical aspects. The collaboration and sharing of documents across disciplines made the process efficient and seamless not to mention making traditional plan printing obsolete.
