22.01.2022 Meet our highly experienced team of veterinarians working to help your pets every day of the week (Monday to Sunday)here at GreenCross Vets Craigieburn. Come have our lovely vets take care of your fur-babies. From right to left: Dr Ash, Dr Matt, and Dr Daniela.

21.01.2022 Good morning to all of our amazing pet owners. This is the beautiful Sasha who was a bit shaken by the storms the other day and made a jump over a 4 meter fence. She was reunited with her mum who had frantically been looking for her. Thanks to the lovely people who found here and brought her in to us to be scanned for a microchip. Again, we wanted to share some information about the importance of having you pets microchipped, the importance of having you records updated an...d the importance of TAKING ANY STRAY or LOST ANIMAL in to either a vet, or contacting Council or a pound facility TO BE SCANNED for a microchip. This will save them from unnecessary, lengthy time away from home, or never even getting home. It is actually an offence under the Domestic Animal Act to hold onto a stray animal & not hand it over to the local council or vet. MICROCHIPPING YOUR PETS - this simple, inexpensive procedure, (provided you keep your details up to date on the database), ensures that you will be contacted if your pet ends up lost & in a vet clinic or pound. If your pet is not microchipped, we urge you to do-so as soon as possible by calling our clinic on 03 9998 2806 to book an appointment. If you are unsure of whether your pet’s microchip details are up to date, you can visit petaddress.com.au to enter their microchip number & be given the link for the database your pets details are on. Or just simply pop into our clinic and we can scan your pet and assist with the search. Sasha is now at home with her family enjoying lots of cuddles.

14.01.2022 As the warm weather kicks in, we all need to make sure our fur babies are well hydrated and don’t over-exert themselves. Give your pet free access to shade and cool surfaces to lay on. Provide plenty of cold drinking water to keep them cool. Ensure their vaccinations and parasite preventatives are up to date before travelling. Greencross Vets are passionate about pets.... 03.01.2022 Keep yourselves and your pets cool on days like today! Remember some of our fur friends are naturally wearing big coats so for our extremely fluffy friends it is best to keep them inside a cool area. Heat stroke can happen very quickly and your pet requires vet attention immediately as it is considered an emergency! Call your nearest vet if you are on your way with a heat exhausted pet so they can make all the necessary equipment preparations. Our wildlife feel the extreme h...eat too so if you can spare a shallow dish of cold water and place it in a shaded area in your yard our native wildlife would be very appreciative! If you find any injured or sick wildlife please call the clinic on how to properly handle the animal if you are able to transport it down. Otherwise call wildlife victoria on 1300 094 737. To answer any questions about heat stress in pets call and speak to one of our trained nurses on 03 99982806 Stay safe and cool
