We all know dogs have an incredible sense of smell; but it gets even more amazing. Our WebVets have shared with us that dogs can smell disease. 01.01.2022 Meet Abbie Abbie is a beautiful nearly 9 year old Burmese. Abbie came into our hospital last week with a case of vomiting. She was admitted, had x-rays performed and had supportive care with fluids. Abbie had been a naughty kitty at home and ate something she shouldn’t have! Abbie was in hospital for 2-3 days on fluids when she finally passed a piece of string/ twine about 25cm long! Nurse Paige and Abbie made a new bond while she had to slowly remove the string from Abbies rectum Abbie was returned home and has been doing well since. Hopefully she now will stick to eating her own food.
