23.01.2022 Meet Sunny Sunny came into see us as he was lame on one of his back legs. Our vets suspected possible cruciate ligament disease, which was confirmed with pa...lpation and xrays of his stifle joint under anaesthesia. Shortly afterwards, Dr James performed a Modified Maquet Procedure. This surgery uses a titanium wedge implant to stabilise the knee joint and allows patients to get back to normal function as soon as possible. Surgery went really well and Sunny is on his road to recovery with the help of his loving family! See more

21.01.2022 Each year, thousands of unwanted cats and dogs end up in shelters and pounds, simply because people are not getting their pets desexed, amongst other reasons. Desexing has numerous health benefits for your pet and drastically reduces the number of unplanned puppies and kittens ending up in animal shelters. A number of our Queensland Greencross clinics are participating in Operation Wanted - an annual desexing initiative run in conjunction with RSPCA QLD where pet parents rece...ive a 20% discount off their usual desexing fee. To be eligible, please head operationwanted.com.au to find your nearest participating Greencross Vet and register online.

16.01.2022 Superhero Alert!! Animal Emergency Centre Midland are looking for dog and cat superheroes to join the ranks and save lives just like Rio by donating blood! Dono...rs must have a calm disposition, be fully vaccinated and healthy, and must be at least 25kg (dogs) or 4kg (cats). Everybody meet Rio, a very handsome 5 year old Labrador X who was adopted by his family from Retriever Rescue in October 2015. He had a rough start to life and was initially very anxious and fearful of men, however with the love and support of his family he eventually found his feet, slowly gaining his confidence to become the farm dog he is today! He loves nothing more than his farm friends and has been known to sneak chicken food, eating too much in one sitting and feeling sorry for himself. Rio has helped raise two calves, three lambs and one joey and he takes his big brother duties very seriously. He loves all animals and has many, many toys which he will happily share with anyone. He will ALWAYS greet you with something in his mouth, so you need to be careful what is left laying around or the next person who visits may be greeted with a pair of undies! Rio is extremely loyal and loveable. He loves camping and car rides and spending time with his humans. Rio loves being able to help, so becoming a blood donor was the perfect job for him Please get in touch via our facebook page or email [email protected] if you think your pet might be eligible to be a blood donor. You will be rewarded with a $50 Petbarn voucher if your pet becomes a blood donor!

Everyday there is a new surprise, a new development, an exciting milestone or a new challenge.
