We all know dogs have an incredible sense of smell; but it gets even more amazing. Our WebVets have shared with us that dogs can smell disease. The diseased or cancerous cells secrete different waste products to healthy cells, and the dogs’ nose can detect these tiny differences in smell. Amazing!

16.01.2022 * THE BEE'S ARE OUT AND ABOUT* Just a friendly reminder that spring is here, which means the bee's are out in full force! Meet Rumple, a 24 week old bulldog puppy that thought playing with a bee would be a fun idea. Rumple's symptoms were redness and inflammation of skin, itching and of course a swollen face. He came in for treatment straight away and is doing well. If you notice any of these symptoms please give us a call so we can get you pets as comfortable as possible asap. :)

16.01.2022 Meet IRENE the one eyed lamb. Irene belongs to our nurse Olivia, who had noticed that her eye looked swollen and weepy. She decided to bring her in from the paddock and found that there was a grass seed that had embedded its way into her right eye. Liv decided bring Irene into the clinic and unfortunately we discovered that her eye had become ulcerated beyond repair. ... Progressing with treatment, an enucleation ( eye removal ) was the best treatment for her. Dr McMillan scrubbed up and preformed the surgery on Tuesday. Her surgery went smoothly and Irene has been recovering well and since re-united with her mum. We had a fun but cheeky vote in clinic for her name, it was between Eydis, Iris and Irene. :) See more

Give them a few extra strokes with the brush while grooming. Practice their favorite commands sit, shake, rollover. Play their favourite game or bring out their best toy.
