25.01.2022 Being a mother is one of life’s greatest achievements, and we passionately believe that being a vet is the next greatest! In honour of Mother’s Day tomorrow, some of the best new mums and vets tell us what it’s like to navigate the two. Dr. Jessica (Regional Clinical Director and Hugo's Mum) - ... "I think being a vet has helped prepare me for motherhood - late nights, no lunch breaks, being pooped on, and being constantly stressed about what they just put in their mouth! I’m so lucky to have been able to experience both." Dr. Ashlinn (Vet Director & Amelia's Mum) - "I love it! [motherhood] It’s better than I had imagined. Everyday there is a new surprise, a new development, an exciting milestone or a new challenge. Dr. Patricia (Emergency & Critical Care Specialist Animal Referral Hospital & Scarlett's Mum plus pregnant with twins.) "I would have to say being a vet is harder. [than being a mum] I may, however, feel differently when I have three teenage daughters!

16.01.2022 R U OK Day is a reminder of the importance of looking out for people every day. While our pets can bring us plenty of love and support, there are many going through some rough times. This year, we’re also raising awareness that R UO K? coincides with World Suicide Prevention Day. This day is an annual international awareness day observed on 10 September each year to provide a focus for dedicated action to prevent suicide and is an opportunity to share a message of hope and a...ction in the community. By asking R U OK, it may help someone feel supported and provide access to appropriate help long before they’re in crisis. For more information and to get involved, please head to www.ruok.org.au
