24.01.2022 As another month comes to a close I'm proud of myself by smashing my reading goal of a book per month! These are the 11 books I've read in the first 5 months ...of this year, a nice blend of female and male authors, Australians, science, faith, culture and fiction. Why do I love reading? You learn, get inspired, get entertained, it expands your neural pathways in your brain, improves spelling and relaxes you. Tips to keep you interested? Start with shorter books, or long books with short chapters; read about topics that interest you; read when you are not tired; read in different places like on the couch, in the garden, at the park; carve out dedicated times to read eg 20 mins while having a cup of tea; read accross genres to keep you engaged; join or start a book club for accountability and companionship. 7 months to go to read another 13 and I'll have achieved a new personal record - 2 books a month for a year

19.01.2022 This is a great business idea! More sustainable, less wasted flowers

17.01.2022 Very exciting!!! Keep all those pill packs now!

17.01.2022 When you can't ripen tomatoes on the plant (either end of the season, too much frost/cold or not enough sunlight in their spot) then on the kitchen windows sil works a treat! These beauties were all green a few days ago

14.01.2022 Throw back to my on air interview with Faye Waterman chatting about sustainable living

11.01.2022 Because of Covid hygiene policies, now more than ever we need to be standing up for the planet and saying NO to disposable plastics. You can still use Keep Cups at cafes by asking them to make your coffee in a ceramic cup, pouring it into your cup without touching it and then you put the lid on yourself. Continue to buy nude produce and just soak them in either mildly soapy water or water and apple cider vinegar before use.... If you need to wear a mask, opt for cloth washable ones instead. Same with shopping bags. They are easy to throw in the washing machine after use. No plastic needed. Just some easy ways to stay plastic free during these trying times.

10.01.2022 Loving that companies like Cotton On are making some of their items from RECYCLED POST CONSUMER FABRICS now!!! For any brands that are not yet doing this...please get with the program! Too many unwanted clothes are heading to landfill each year so choosing recycled is one step in the right direction to fighting waste and saving our planet Ps can't wait to wear my new warm recycled track pants...haven't bought any for 3 years!!!

07.01.2022 Thursday business motivation!

01.01.2022 If you're getting a few Easter Eggs make sure to scrunch all your Easter chocolate foil into a big ball so it can be recycled. Aluminium foil is 100% recyc...lable and recycling it saves 95% of the energy required to produce aluminium from raw materials. Top tip: Make sure it's at least the size of a golf ball, clean and dry. Also, check your local council does recycle aluminium foil by checking their website. If you still fancy a few Easter eggs we still have a few online and they're now a little bit cheaper! https://bit.ly/3tXQmBf
