17.01.2022 An easy but often forgotten one! Standby power is the energy drawn by an appliance when it is not in use so even though you may not be using an appliance, there is a chance it is still using energy and raising your bill To curb unnecessary spending, make sure to unplug or switch off your appliances at the wall.

Made from stainless steel, meaning they're durable enough to withstand everyday use.... Wider variety as you get to choose your own coffee beans, BONUS - You can support small businesses by buying your coffee beans from a local cafe. Lower ongoing costs. Best of all, waste! So, what are you waiting for?! Make the swap today
14.01.2022 We love everything about our great state! Except for maybe our energy prices... Did you know the average dryer can cost you anywhere between $250-$500+ per year to run? That figure varies greatly upon what type of dryer you have and how often you use it however there’s no questioning that hanging your laundry to air dry can save you big bucks! If your household prefers using a dryer but would still like to save some cash then we’d strongly suggest you consider having a solar system installed. Get in touch today, we know a guy
13.01.2022 Winter is coming and swapping your AC system from cooling to heating is as easy as it gets but if your system isn't running efficiently, you might receive a bill higher than expected! Give us a call to arrange a time for your system to get serviced to keep those bills as low as possible. (08) 8297 3422 [email protected]
11.01.2022 You know how the saying goes, "One man's trash is another man's treasure". Well that is certainly the case at the moment. A lot of people are utilising this newly found, extra time to de-clutter their space which means your treasure could be out there waiting for you! So be sure to consider buying secondhand before making your next purchase.
11.01.2022 Our first blog of the not-so-new-anymore year! We had every intention of publishing this a lot sooner however Mother Nature had other plans for us. Speaking of Mother Nature... we think she’s great, so great in fact, that we decided we would dedicate an entire blog to her. These unusual and unfortunate circumstances have demonstrated just how much of an impact human behaviour has on our environment and after seeing these results, there’s no denying we can all be a little kinder to our planet - but where do we start? Read the blog to find out! https://www.greenefficientliving.com.au/?p=5207
10.01.2022 Our efficiency tip this week is focused on solar! Again. (Can you tell we really love solar?) Due to recent events, a lot more people are at home during times they wouldn’t normally be which means a lot more electricity is getting used and with higher usage comes a higher bill. We understand these are unusual times and the idea of splashing out on a brand-new solar system may seem ludicrous but what if we told you there was a way you could get your system and it cost you no ...more than what you are already paying for your electricity bill? Allow us to explain. We’ve teamed up with Ratesetter who offer our customers ‘Green Loans’ which are special low-interest, unsecured loans used to fund the purchase and installation of approved clean energy products (i.e. solar systems). The average system takes about 3-5 years to pay itself off but you also have the option to pay the entire loan off sooner if you wish as there are no termination fees! If you had the right solar system, the money you’d be saving on your electricity bill could be used towards your loan instead. Now, this is where we come in and make the magic happen. We specialise in taking an individualised approach to designing systems for our customers, our technicians take the time to understand your needs then design a system tailored to suit those needs. This means the energy your system will produce (and therefore reduce your electricity bill) should offset the energy you actually use (and therefore free up more cash to put towards your loan). Genius, right? In summary, we can help you save money and make a return on an investment at the same time and THIS my friends is exactly why we love solar. Give us a call on (08) 8297 3422 to learn more! Disclaimer: Interest rates will vary based on your personal credit rating and we recommend you seeking the expertise of a financial advisor if you are unsure of Ratesetter's terms, policies or procedures
10.01.2022 Today's GEL Tip is for those who have a solar system installed. Unless you have a battery, you may be wasting the energy that you are producing! To avoid exporting your production and make the most of your system, use your appliances during the day as this is when production is at its highest If you're not home during the day, time your appliances to turn on while you're out. Don't forget, our friends over at Ratesetter offer 'Green Loans' which are special low-interest,... unsecured loans used to fund the purchase and installation of approved clean energy products. Give us a call on (08) 8297 3422 to learn more about how we can help save you money and help make a return on an investment at the same time Disclaimer: Interest rates will vary based on your personal credit rating and we recommend you seeking the expertise of a financial advisor if you are unsure of Ratesetter's terms, policies or procedures.
09.01.2022 Today's environmental tip is all about makin' the most of what you've got Thinking about throwing out those pants with the faulty zip or upgrading that tired-looking handbag? First consider restoring or repairing instead of replacing, you'll help save our planet your wallet!

06.01.2022 In our next blog, we talk about how a lot of small changes can make a big impact. From now on, we will be sharing a new tip each week on a small change you can implement into your lifestyle to be more environmentally friendly This week, we are starting with toilet paper (we thought this was quite fitting given the current events). Several factors are considered when toilet paper is purchased; softness, durability, absorption but sustainability is often overlooked. Toilet ...paper can be made of sustainable materials such as sugar cane, bamboo and/or recycled paper which are great alternatives to no-so-sustainable materials, like trees. There are a lot of companies out there who offer sustainable options, some even donate a portion of their profits to charities - how good is that?! Do your research and make the swap! #GreenEfficientLiving #GEL #adelaide #airconditioning #solar #electrical #installation #service #cleanenergy #environment
06.01.2022 Meet your Directors! Mitch and Kody Toeroek established Green Efficient Living in 2013 with the vision to create a company that provides their customers with affordable, high-quality work matched with a high level of service that is second-to-none. Mitchy is the eldest of the Toe Bro’s and is a Refrigeration Mechanic by trade. He’s got a vocabulary of his own and strange noises coming from his office are the norm. Nevertheless, Mitch’s devotion to his team and his wor...k ethic are unparalleled. Animated and innovative, he’s the first to bring you up when you’re down and the first to let you know when there’s a new software update available. Kody, or Toey, is an Electrician by trade and our solar guru. He has no filter which can sometimes cause him to suffer from foot-in-mouth syndrome but luckily, he has a canny ability to swap into ‘professional’ mode at the flick of a switch. Meticulous and methodical, you can always count on Kody to remember the details and deliver consistency. One is yin and the other is yang but both brothers are committed to staying on the front foot by continually looking for ways to make our company more and more See more

01.01.2022 Today’s environmental tip is all about solar aka clean energy! Did you know that quality solar panels will offset their CO2 emissions in about 3-5 years actually making them CO2 positive? This is because a solar system does not produce any sort of pollutants and therefore offsets the pollutants produced when the panels were manufactured. Did you also know that, unlike its coal and gas counterparts, solar energy doesn’t emit any greenhouse gases? Hence the term, "clean energy...". , the wrong solar system can end up doing more harm than good if not installed properly or if quality materials are not used. Here at Green Efficient Living we pride ourselves on the fact that we will not sell you an inferior product just to get your business, the materials we use are the same materials we have installed on our own homes. So do yourself (and the planet) a favour, give us a call today to speak with one of our knowledgeable and friendly solar technicians! (08) 8297 3422
