05.01.2022 **Please Like & Share** Maybe we can get some community support for all performers and artists in NSW. All weddings , functions and venues to be 100% Seated wi...th no singing, dancing and mingling with a cap of 300 for the largest venues. Now would be the time for the NSW Government to funnel some money back into the arts. And I'm not talking about the state theater's or galleries. I'm talking about the 1000's of musicians, dancers and artists that make a living off their talents every week. Never asking for government grants or handouts. I personally haven't seen a stage in 4 months and don't expect to until Christmas now due to these new restrictions. You cannot blame the venues. They're following the rules. But sooner or later we're all going to need help to stay afloat and get back to the glory days of live music, performances and celebrations. Let's hope NSW doesn't turn into another permanent Kings Cross style affair, where social distancing is made permanent, dancing is outlawed due to health concerns (footloose style I suppose)and performers are cast aside because theirs no need for them on Macquarie Street. Because that'll be the day the music dies.
