20.01.2022 Green Envy Gardens is more than just mowing lawns. This customer wanted to brighten up a corner of the yard with a retreat to enjoy a morning cup of tea. They were so impressed they got me to enhance their front entry too.

17.01.2022 Dropped in on one of my regular customers today, and as usual I spent 15 minutes having a chat before starting on the lawn. Over the course of 12 months I got to know him as the frail 83 year old man caring for his invalid wife of 60 years. Then as the younger diesel mechanic who kept the Darling Downs transport industry running by attending to broken down trucks all over the region. Finally as the 18 year old boy who served in the Korean War by transporting truckloads of amm...unition to the front line every night, on his own, because one soldier was easier to replace than two. I then slapped him on the shoulder and jokingly said I better get to work, we talk too much. He then followed me to my truck and with sincerity in his eyes said I’m sorry I talk so much, the reason I do is because the brain doctor says it’s good to do otherwise the depression comes back. Needless to say I gave him a bit more of my time before mowing his lawn. In this world where we are all so concerned about expressing our opinion with empty words in the belief that we’re making a difference to the world, maybe we should stop and consider how much of a difference listening can make to just one person. 10.01.2022 Found this cute little critter on one on my customers citrus trees. The musgraveia sulciventris also known as the bronze orange or common stink bug. This little bugger will suck the sap from your citrus trees causing the flowers and fruit to fall.
