24.01.2022 Funding, together with the provision of land, are the key challenges for housing co-operatives. The announcement by the City of Amsterdam recognises this and aims to provide real, long term solutions. The example set by the City of Amsterdam makes me reflect on the Co-operative Housing project which was initiated and then pulled by the City of Fremantle a couple of years ago. At the time, Fremantle excluded any financial support to the project. Hopefully, inspired by examples such as this, Australian Councils are encouraged to follow in Amsterdam's footsteps.

18.01.2022 Haystack Heights is a Cohousing Community in Spokane (US). It's a community-led development. The video is a tool to promote the community and invites interested households to connect and join. A great example of how other communities make their dream a reality.

12.01.2022 Co-operation Housing is excited to announce that we will be developing two new housing co-operatives in Western Australia. The first is an Aged and Dependant P...ersons development, which will be located just south of Margaret River in the Witchcliffe Ecovillage. We will be collaborating with Vicki Barry from Better Living, Caring Together to help the future residents design homes and community spaces that will be suitable for people living with a life limiting condition or disability. The second will be a medium density apartment complex of approximately 30 homes located in close proximity to the Bayswater Train Station. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks on opportunities to be involved.
