25.01.2022 These Pak Choi are racing now probably 1 more weeks and they are out. 4-5 weeks in a brand new system... I don't know why I was stressing at the start. Look at the root systems though, thick white roots. Lettuces are justing starting crank as well.

25.01.2022 Last years carrots were... well let's say the product of a novice. Not that I'm a professional now but there is a vast difference between the two crops years. Lets hope that next years is even better again. Harvest time soon... It's GARLIC SEASON...

24.01.2022 Even though it's still a relatively new system, younger than 6 months it's producing quite large Pakchoi. Comparing it to the house brick underneath them... not too bad. Display at Greenfingers Aquaponics Midvale.

16.01.2022 I seriously had some doubts about this Strawberry growing pratice, but 3-4 months of patience has finally paid off with my first real harvest of fruit. As you can see, still plenty more to come... My 7yr old son only just started 1 of these 4 weeks ago... he is going to be so excited when he can pick and eat his own.

16.01.2022 Just another reason why people comtemplating using old IBC's that have had Round Up should think again. It doesnt matter how much these are washed and rinsed. Please beware that you are going to use these containers to store your food source in for the next 5-10 years. It's worth the rethink..

15.01.2022 Just giving an update on our Aquaponic floating raft systems. Two days short of 2 weeks. They are looking great, healthy butI would of hoped for a bit more growth by now... Here's hoping the next couple of weeks is a bit more promising...

15.01.2022 Proud as Punch. This year in the Aquaponics system my Dragon fruit have been going amazingly well, however these latest two monsters speak for themselves. Grown on Fish poo. Nearly 100% organic. Grown at the Midvale Store.

10.01.2022 We have been testing out the next generation lighting, over the last 12 months we have notice some impressive results. CMH or LEC lighting easily out performs old style Magnetics and even some of the new style Digitals. The dramatic decrease in power consumption and heat is what we are impressed about the most. Check out these chillies grown at our Midvale Store. Starting to swamp this 150cmx150cm room.

09.01.2022 The future is bright for urban food production under lighting could be very well possible as these chillies are absolutely awesome for being under new generation artificial lighting and grown indoors with artificial pollination as well. Grown at our Elliott st store in Midvale. Grown with the 630w range of Hi Par Double Ended Kits. Come in and look at what deals we can do on up grading your indoor growroom's lighting. 705gm of chillies on the first harvest.

05.01.2022 This Strawberry project probably started 8 months ago. At one stage I thought I'd never get the container full, now there is so many healthy runners Greenfingers might have start a 2.0 version. Cant wait for the fruit this year round. Leave your comments or your own experiences.

03.01.2022 Well I was away from the shop for 4 days and finally the Pak Choi starting moving quite fast. The last two picturs are the 4 day difference. Root system in the floating raft is now powering on.

02.01.2022 Our Dragon Fruit is in it's 3rd year of being feed in the Aquaponics system, with only 24 small Silver Perch as a food source I am surprised thats it's getting enough fertilizer.... However it is powering on and recording a record fruit set with more than 20 this year, up from 7 in the 2nd year. I have never seen a flower properly and didnt realise just how beautiful they really are... Decide for yourself?
