19.01.2022 Philodendron Cream Splash! . She got her house cleaned today with an upgrade into a new terracotta pot. . I'm not a fan of terracotta pots, but happy to experiment. Her roots are now quite developed with three strong 4cm roots and 1 small 1.5cm root. That's why I thought it was time to move into soil!... . She's in seedling mix only. Once she's out grown this pot I will also change up her soul mix. . 16.01.2022 A moment of pause to appreciate what's been accomplished. A year ago there was nothing here! Literally nothing! Not even grass. It was a finished building site with layers of building materials mixed in clay and a compacted poor top soil. After lots of mulch and digging in compost, worm wee and persistence we have this! By no means finished, but it's getting there!... Today marks the day all my permanent structures and trees are in place. The arbour will have thornless blackberry on it, the grey pot houses my long awaited variegated gingko biloba. YES! We all have to start somewhere... So here it is. . Cream Splash had a distinctive white stripe in between all the greens and yellows. .
