25.01.2022 Today, the Green Gully Soccer Club is deeply saddened by the news of Eddie Gauci’s passing following a battle with cancer. The Green Gully Soccer Club Board, Players and Members send our deepest condolences to Ed’s wife Lyn, his sons Jonathan, Lewis and Ryan, his Mum and Dad and his brothers and sister. Ed’s passing will be felt by all that knew him, the Caroline Springs George Cross FC where he held lifetime membership, as well as Football Australia, Football Victoria and th...e wider Football Community. Ed will be remembered for his kindness, humility and passion for the game. A man greatly respected, wonderfully loved and will be sadly missed. 17.01.2022 A HUGE effort from our Under 14 boys this week! In an effort to keep fit the boys put together their own running competition. Between the 14 of them they managed a whopping 738km. That's equivalent to running from Barcelona to Madrid and then running 285 laps around Santiago Bernabeau!... Kyle Zahra led the pack with a staggering 100km. I would like to thank the senior footballers, coaches, physios and support staff for their enormous effort since pre-season training last year. Even in the last few months, the lads all turned up to train, and committed to the club and each other, despite there being so much uncertainty about whether and when the season would re-commence. ...They would all be extremely downhearted at the moment.
