25.01.2022 After a week in the stables in iso getting use to humans, little bibbity bob, gets her first outing into the big wide world again. As a rejected twin we had to intervene. Now its a waiting game for a cow to lose a calf for her to be fostered (hopefully not)

24.01.2022 After 3 days in the yard the only thing to be heard is the tractor. The first calving heifers calves are weaned and ready to go to new paddocks. The mature cows will be next for weaning.

23.01.2022 Looking for some well bred Murray Grey steers, head to AuctionsPlus on Friday.

23.01.2022 Todays project, no more puddles around the water troughs. Thanks Angus and Rob on a job well done.

22.01.2022 Cropping is an important part of the GreenHills operation. Providing diversity of income, grain and stubbles for grazing and is part of the pasture and paddock improvement program. Cooler conditions have slowed up harvest of the wheat. Canola was all completed before the new year.

21.01.2022 These beautiful Murray Grey cows sold by Elder Kerr & Co made $1134ph (186c/kg) at yesterday's prime market in Mortlake. #wvlxvic #primemarket #elderslivestock #kerrcolivestock #eldersmortlake #qualitycattle #qualitysaleyards

21.01.2022 Something a bit different this year. Linseed as a spring/ summer crop to start off the cropping rotation in this paddock. It will make for a nice picture when in flower.

21.01.2022 This is what 224 Murray Grey steers look like when lined up in the new Mortlake (WVLX) Western District Livestock Exchange for the Kerr & Co annual Spring sale in October. The Hines steers have a strong Lindsay blood line with an infusion of Woodburn in recent years based on GreenHills cows. The Boyd steers are predominately GreenHills blood bulls. We were more than happy with the results on the day considering the seasonal conditions the country was experiencing.

20.01.2022 Today’s job done!!! Now time to go home for a and watch the footy. Go Tigers

18.01.2022 After three and a half weeks on the ground, twice as long as usual we have had to lift the hay off the ground using the tedder. Its a good problem to have considering whats going on in the rest of the country.

16.01.2022 GreenHills lambs just made it on the end of this short clip of todays sale.

11.01.2022 Last week this monster hit the ground with a thud. Biggest calf for the year weighing in at 55.5kg. This wonderful high capacity cow from Woodbourn had no problems pushing him out.

10.01.2022 A consignment of EU Cows on agistment / holiday from North of Glen Innes. Nice to have the space to be able to help someone out.

10.01.2022 The only problem with yard weaning is the yards need a good clean out every three or four years. Thanks C. & L. Blake

09.01.2022 Well they werent wrong when they said the sorghum will grow quick. More mouths required, I think. There going to be some more lucky animals around the farm.

06.01.2022 Feed day for the silver heifers, there is a young grey bull in there somewhere. Probably keeping his head low after being put out yesterday.

05.01.2022 Pre lambing drenching, vaccination and crutching the other day, and I thinking we had the sheep bluffed.

05.01.2022 Great time of the day to be checking paddocks. Things have cooled off ready for another warm one tomorrow.

04.01.2022 Drafting the heifers up, ready for this year’s joining

03.01.2022 Still doing our bit to help farmers in Bega Valley that lost all feed supplies during fires at the beginning of the year. Well done to all associated with Need 4 Feed.

03.01.2022 AJ & AK Boyd (Greenhills) had a fantastic run of Murray grey cattle cattle on offer at yesterdays Elders Kerr & Co Annual Spring Sale as they averaged 440c/kg or $2114.07 per head!
