23.01.2022 Our vegetable garden is continuing to thrive. We have been watching our snow peas grow bigger and bigger, they became covered in flowers and now those flowers have turned into peas. This has been a wonderful learning opportunity for all our children. Not only have they been able to learn how to care for plants but also the process that takes place as the vegetables and fruits are forming. Charlie was very excited to show me the peas hiding amongst the greenery

20.01.2022 Exploring is normal and important for children to do. Exploring is one of the first steps in learning about objects and in learning how to solve problems. Children are fascinated about how things work, what they look like from the inside, and how they are made. This morning Parker in our Tiny Tots Learning Space was exploring all the objects and everyday items on their new busy board that their educator Angeleena created for them.

20.01.2022 This morning I was greeted enthusiastically by children in the outdoor play area. They excitedly told me that our fruit trees had grown but not alot and that this morning they had given them a drink. Together we went over to take a closer look and to our suprise we found very tiny flower buds on our lemon tree. We decided that each day we are going to take a photo of the flower buds so we can see how they grow and change over time. We look forward to sharing our project with you ~Larissa
20.01.2022 Climbing frames can be tricky to navigate and often appear a little daunting for children at first. As children attempt their climb they are using their problem-solving skills by trying to work out how best to move and place their hands, feet and bodies to reach the top, proceed over and climb down again. They are also exploring their self-confidence, as they may be cautious, scared or unsure of climbing to such a great height. Once navigated and they reach their goal there is that exciting rush of excitement, joy and satisfaction building their self-confidence and sense of achievement.

We thought the wool made good spaghetti and the cut up pieces of felt made tomatoes. We made some breakfast for each other. Joshua made some bacon and some nutrigrain, whilst Harvey made spicy noodles. Genevieve and Ava H made some yummy spicy noodle muffins that were super hot when they came out of the oven. Aayan made some chocolate cakes with white, brown, green and red chocolate for dessert

06.01.2022 Fergus loved exploring the shaving cream in our Tiny Tots Learning Space. He squeezed it between his fingers and stirred it round and round with the small spatula. He even rubbed some into his cheeks, maybe mimicking how he had seen an adult use the shaving cream before? Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain's pathways, which lead to the child's ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem-solving skills, and social interaction

The dishes are then sent to the kitchen for washing and sanitising. Our Nursery children are slowly being introduced to this by exploring dishes placed in warm, bubbly water with different types of sponges.

Step 1- Warm the oil and butter in a large heavy saucepan over medium heat. Saut the onion and garlic until soft but not browned. Step 2- Add diced pumpkin and cook until pumpkin is soft.
