24.01.2022 Making slime!!! The children looked for letters in the instructions and counted and mixed until they ended up with their own little pouch of slime to take home. The Kindergarten children also wrote the capital and lower case letter that their name starts with and used the slime creation to trace out the letters that their name starts with. What clever children we have here!... Kindergarten would like to say a very big thank you to the beautiful family who donated all these wonderful supplies to our class! It has been so much fun! Does anyone else have slime recipes that we could try?

24.01.2022 We celebrated National Agriculture Day recently and we discussed how farmers grow their crops. To bring new life to our veggie beds we pulled out the old corn plants, gave the soil a digging over and pulled a few small weeds. We then prepared small planting holes and transferred our new seedlings. Our future crop includes lettuce, capsicum and parsley seedlings as well a small kaffir lime tree. What do you have growing at home? We would love for you to share pictures of your gardens at home.

20.01.2022 As the children in kindergarten become more confident in their drawing and writing skills, they want to create more and more. Every day we are blessed with a special mail, pictures or portraits from the children and this was the inspiration for our new kindergarten teacher display. We have replaced our photos in the entry to our kindergarten room with portraits created by the children as a way of showcasing their talent and enthusiasm for learning. 16.01.2022 We have been exploring force and motion all week in kindergarten. Today the kindergarten children were experimenting with movement by air. They tested their theories about what the air/wind can move and worked out reasons why some things fly in the wind but others dont. As the experiment progressed, the children become storytellers and draw their understanding of learning on the teaching easel. The feather is light so it flies in the wind. The rock dropped down. It was too heavy for the wind to lift it.
