16.01.2022 Why is sensory play so important? Sensory play has proven to build nerve connections in the brains pathway, this supports children in being able to complete more complex tasks whilst building their problem solving, memory, motor, cognitive, social and language skills. Its also essential in children developing their sensory attributes and making sense of their world as they curiously explore and establish the purpose of resources within their environment.

13.01.2022 How do you acknowledge and celebrate Easter? Several children shared their tradition of Easter Egg Hunting with their educators and peers and we couldn't resist sharing in an Easter egg hunt together, finding pretend eggs. This experience provoked a range of arts and crafts opportunities for the children to express their interpretation of what this holiday means to them and their family using the eggs they found.

05.01.2022 Our Tiny Tots learning environment has recently introduced scrapbooks for children to express themselves and their ongoing learning for safe keeping. This is supporting continuous reflection on past creations and encourages children to revisit and build upon their own learning. Respectful and sustainable documentation supports children's learning journey and is reflective of our view that children are confident and capable learners.

03.01.2022 Our nursery children have been confidently exploring their room this week after their extended weekend. Nursery educators have been promoting tummy time as it is important for babies to develop strong neck and shoulder muscles and it promotes gross motor skills. Our educators use transition times such as meal and change times to build on their relationships with the children in their care. This is important to build their sense of belonging within the centre.
