17.01.2022 I love this idea: Parma to help a farmer!!!

16.01.2022 These little guys are freezing but Winter is a great time to get them in the ground says Guy Barter, expert at the Royal Horticultural Society. Most are tough as old boots, so you can transplant them when you like. Perennials are non-woody plants that die back in autumn before returning in spring. 13.01.2022 WET WEATHER TIPS FOR YOUR GARDEN All this rain in Sydney is great for the plants, but it can also damage your garden if it gets too much of a soaking. 1. Make sure your plants aren't getting a water build-up around them. Their roots can get waterlogged which leads to rot or they drown from lack of oxygen. 2. Water also washes away the good nutrients in the soil, so it's a great time to fertilise after the rain. 3. Weeds, slugs and snails all love the rain too. Keep slugs and ...snails at bay by pouring some beer into an empty yoghurt container and bury it ground level so that when they come along for the beer, that's where they'll stay. I have bookings open for Tuesday and Thursday. Give me a call for a post-rain garden rescue.

02.01.2022 Chelepteryx collesi. Batwing/White stemmed gum moth. Beware of these bad boys hanging out in a gumtree near you. The barbs will penetrate your skin easily, snap off and are extremely difficult to remove. Oh and did I mention ... they hurt like buggery!! More info can be found at: http://lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au/anth/collesi.html... Happy climbing kiddies!
