23.01.2022 Dear Friends, Greenock Creek Wines Open Day, September 12th at our Marananga Cellar Door, is fast approaching. As is the tradition, the wines of our latest release (2018 vintage) will be available soon.... In the past, our launch has been an open house but with restrictions on capacity we'll be presenting the wines in a seated setting to smaller groups. A complimentary event, we’re able to accommodate groups of 20 and will be providing a few local delicacies to accompany the tastings (pickles, mettwurst and Apex Bakery salt sticks!). These tastings are strictly by booking only. Please book via https://events.humanitix.com/gcwopenday, email to [email protected] or call us on (08) 8562 8103 if you would prefer to book by phone. For those interstate we are talking with venues to provide similar experiences so please keep an ear out!

23.01.2022 Dear Friends... - Barossa is in bloom, buds have burst and Vintage '21 looms large on the near horizon. - A beautiful time to visit with fields of green, epic vistas and friendly faces offering generosity and the best Australian wines wherever you may turn.... - The Greenock Creek Cellar Door, in the heart of Marananga, offers the rare opportunity to taste wines that have received more accolades and awards than most can only dream of. Wines that excite, wines that transport you to a time of decadence, exploration and energy. - Open all long weekend, take the opportunity to experience a legend of Barossa, we promise you'll remember forever. 21.01.2022 Dear Friends... - To join the throng of picking, crushing and bubbling, we're proud and excited to kick off Vintage 2021 by picking 2 tonnes of Apricot Block Shiraz! - With the hillside ripening slightly ahead we'll return to the block next week to harvest the lower rows.... - The plan this year is to vinify the sections of this special parcel separately to explore the full potential of a special and challenging piece of dirt! - The colour and flavour of this first ferment is truly incredible, a great indication for the vintage ahead. - Good luck to everyone across the region making epic @barossawines, may it be safe, fun and delicious! 16.01.2022 Dear Friends, Place your bids... For over 25 years the wines of Greenock Creek have been classified as "Outstanding" by Langtons, Australia's pre-eminent valuers and auctioneers of fine wines.... As proud purveyors of the best of Barossa, and alongside luminaries, innovators and artisans, we're privileged to be part of the 2021 Barossa Wine Auction. Supported by Langtons and part of the bi-annual Vintage Festival, this keystone event gives rare access to the greatest wines from the greatest winemaking region in the world (no objections will be entered into). With 3 Greenock Creek lots across the auction program there is opportunity to secure perfect scoring wines that have not been available for decades and to procure a tiny allocation of a wine that we hold as one of the most important to the past, present and future of Greenock Creek. Please take the time to delve into an epic offering of the all-time greatest Barossa Wines and place your bids for bragging rights on scarcity, rarity and outstanding quality. 14.01.2022 Hello old friend... Esteemed wine writer and philosopher Tony Love has taken a literary look back, and forward, over the Greenock Creek journey via the means of reviewing our 2018 releases. Aside from a range of great notes (e.g. "In the context of heavyweight Barossa shiraz, this is well played, even handed and dangerously more-ish." for the '18 Apricot Block) Tony has waxed lyrical on the past, present and future of Greenock Creek and we thank him for the time and energy h...e's dedicated to this. "For those who delight in such larger than life performances, and who will always love the Greenock Creek approach to tradition and stoicism, these new releases are going to make your pulse race. For many, these wines perhaps represent a distinct moment in history, a certain time in the evolution of Australian red wine expression that celebrated unfettered generosity, the loudest of boasts, the hardest of backslaps. Big hearts. Action-packed. There is no such thing as wrong or right in considering wines like these even if, for many, contemporary fashion might nod to more medium bodied and elegant wine styles. These deserve to be judged on their own merits and in the context of their own design statements. No holds barred. Big is beautiful. As always, the wines speak for themselves." If you have a moment, please take the time to read through while enjoying a glass of Barossa stoicism and unfettered generosity!
