We are too small to allow for social distancing and keep up with high demand. We will be here Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday 9am - 5pm to receive, pack and a...rrange for collection of your orders. We will accept orders large and small but we ask that you plan for collection no more than twice per week, so that we can service as many customers as possible. We have good supplies of stock but may need to modify your order to ensure an equitable distribution. 17.01.2022 We are very pleased with how our 2019 harvest is shaping up! If everything goes well, and barring adverse events (always possible in farming!), it looks as thou...gh our harvest might be the best yet. Fingers crossed!! That means we will need help at harvest time in March-April! Could you all please spread the message? We can offer a WWOOFER (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) arrangement: accommodation and meals in exchange for 4-6 hours a day work, from around mid March to mid April. 16.01.2022 Green Onions is open for both in-store shopping and click and collect orders. Our in-store shopping hours are: 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm Saturday 9am to 4pm on Sunday... For our customers’ protection, sanitiser is available at the door for all customers, all staff use personal sanitisers between each customer and we are sanitising high contact areas regularly during the day. And as you can see, all of our staff are wearing our own themed masks! To maintain social distancing, we are limiting in-store customers to 5 at a time. Please try to limit your visits to minimise queues and ensure that others have the chance to shop. We are not taking cash payments at this time so please ensure you bring your card with you. If this presents any problem for you, please phone before you arrive and speak to Chris or Caroline. 13.01.2022 Green Onions Organic Grocer intends to keep supplying fresh produce and groceries to as many of our customers as possible, as effectively as we can. Our aim is to provide what you need while maintaining minimal contact, to minimise risk to your families and our staff. Please visit our website www.greenonions.com.au where you will find a complete product list and order form. We require at least 24 hours notice for each order. We will endeavour to pack your order as quickl...y as possible but are unable to pack for specific days or times. We will notify you by phone or email when your order is packed and ready for payment. We would appreciate pick up as soon as possible after that time. We will not be in a position to phone you if we have any queries about your order so please be as specific as possible about the product and quantity you want. Similarly, we will not be able to phone you if we are out of stock of a particular fresh or grocery item you have ordered. On the website you will be asked if we can substitute a similar product. If we do substitute an item, we will not refund or accept a return on that item. To help us turn around your orders as quickly as possible please: * Be as specific as possible when ordering. The product list has full details of every product so consider copying and pasting to the order form. * Try to consolidate your orders to twice a week - we are receiving a lot of orders for 1 or 2 items which slows down our turnaround. * Make sure your list is complete before submitt...ing as we are unable to make changes or add on items you have forgotten. * Consider ticking Yes for product substitutions - We will only substitute like products and you will receive more of your order. * Listen out for our phone call and call back quickly as we are getting backlogs of sales on hold, which again slows things down. * Pick up your order as soon as possible - we have limited space to store completed orders. We, like you, have had to adapt quickly to this challenging situation so please work with us to make the process as easy as possible for everyone. Also please listen out for our phone call, we are unable to hold sales or store your order for any length of time. 01.01.2022 Good morning everyone, Just some info to keep you in the loop. We now have good supplies of all the staples including eggs, rice, tomato products, tinned and dried beans and lentils, nuts and seeds.... We have received a large delivery of chicken, beef and lamb which is currently being labelled and frozen for your convenience. Please keep an eye on the website, we will be adding this to our product list as soon as possible. Fruit and veg are plentiful with only the usual seasonal shortages. Wheat pasta is still in short supply as it is imported from Italy, but we have plenty of wholemeal, spelt and khorosan varieties. Flour is still in short supply but we have good stocks of the following: unbleached and wholegrain plain, bread and pizza and unbleached spelt flour. We have received a shipment of Saba Organics hand sanitiser, available for $10.50 each (limit 2 per customer). We will donate $4.00 from the sale of each bottle to the Smith Family, Australia’s largest national education-oriented charity, to support disadvantaged Australian children at this challenging time. We will add this to the website but in the meantime please order in the comments section of the order form. This is Lou Lou our mascot, rescued by Chris from the wholesale markets as a tiny kitten and named by one of our young customers. She looks cute but comes from a long line of wild cats which she regularly demonstrates - we have the scars to prove it!
