24.01.2022 A huge thank you to all those who logged in to watch the Green Room Awards, 2020 Online Awards Presentation! It was such a pleasure to see all the fabulous watch parties and outfits people were tagging us in. 21.01.2022 The Green Room Awards are looking for expressions of interest for two new volunteers to take on some exciting comms and marketing opportunities with the organisation. For more information head to http://ow.ly/pFUn50ApQh9 #GRA2020 #GreenRoomAwards

04.01.2022 REGISTRATIONS OPEN FOR DIGITAL SHOWS Faced with these difficult times, many local artists and creatives are re-imagining what’s possible by presenting in the digital space. The Green Room Awards is likewise re-imagining itself. For a start, we’re encouraging registration for digital shows presented in 2020. Because we know artists and companies are doing it tough, we’re making it free to register all shows this year. The range of awards on offer will also be slightly red...uced due to the fewer number of shows across most genres. Instead, for this year only, we’re also looking to introduce a few special commendations. Whatever the shape of the next awards ceremony will be, we’re committed to making it a vital gathering point for the sector and audiences. Register now at: http://ow.ly/ZoAQ50AOnaR

04.01.2022 INTRODUCING NEW CO-PRESIDENTS FOR THE GREEN ROOM AWARDS ASSOCIATION Green Room Award members last month voted in Sapidah Kian and Eugyeene Teh as the association’s new co-presidents. At this transformative and inauspicious time, the association plans to recalibrate. This will include a focus on developing inclusive practices that more strongly reflect its members, the sector and wider community.... Introducing themselves and their priorities, the co-presidents have written a letter to association members and industry. (please visit www.greenroom.org.au) Growing a vision for the awards with our members in this ever-evolving landscape is our priority, said the new co-presidents. We all need to adjust and reconsider practice as well as purpose while we navigate the pandemic and the emergence from restrictions that have impacted our sector so heavily. Sapidah and Eugyeene paid tribute to the incredible accomplishments of former president Hilary Glow and the hard work of our panels and membership base.
