15.01.2022 Tip #1 Ambient sounds and Lo-Fi music has been scientifically proven to help with focus. Steady rhythms, no vocals and a dense texture are some of the reasons why it works. Another phenomenon is the ‘Mozart Effect’, where Mozarts’s tunes can temporarily get the brain juices flowing. I recommend the Youtube Channel ‘ChilledCow’ or checking out the subscription service brain.fm. What do you listen to when you study? Take a deep breath, things that can go wrong will go wrong ...today, but we’ll make it through to the other side! I’ll be posting every morning a tip for home learning using music. I hope that it may help a little as we journey into this unknown time! . . . . #focuswithmusic #studytips #greenroomtips See more

08.01.2022 It is with great sadness that today we announce the cancellation of the 50th Gladstone Eisteddfod and the 50th Gladstone Eisteddfod Showcase. This decision has ...not been made lightly. There are a lot of obstacles given the uncertainty of COVID19’s time frame of impact or how it would affect organising an event such as this. Our priority is to align with Government and Health Department restrictions to minimise the risk of COVID19 harm. We can not in good faith guarantee that holding this event would be zero-risk. All entrants will receive a refund (minus Stardom admin fees). We thank our sponsors and volunteers for the support they have provided us this year. With all that is going on in the world, our love of the performing arts is one to keep us all going. If you need any guidance as to how that works in today’s climate, please feel free to message us and we’ll try to help as best we can. See you all in 2021!
08.01.2022 It's Spring Concert Season over in the States. I was lucky to stumble upon this live stream of my old high school. I've been able to show a few students today in lessons, hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as they are!
