18.01.2022 This Sunday marks our Annual Lance Corporal Andrew Jones Memorial Cup this year hosted by St Mary's. Buckets will be passed around for a gold coin donation to support Ward 17 at Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, as per the Jones family’s wishes. Funds raised will buy equipment for the ward and at a later date there will be a presentation of the item to the ward from both football clubs and the Greensborough RSL.... Thank you to both St Mary’s and the RSL for working with us to make this weekend happen. #AllMyLife

12.01.2022 The Special General Meeting of the club was held online on Thursday 8 October 2020. This meeting was to fill the various committee roles that remain vacant following the club’s Annual General Meeting on 15 September. Thanks to those that took the time to participate. Fortunately we had nominations and were able to confirm a number of roles which is great. The appointments to roles at this stage are as below.... Thanks to all those who have put up their hands to take on roles for the 2021 season. In particular thanks and welcome to Jodie Fuller and Katherine Gibbins who have both joined the club only this season and have taken on the roles of Secretary and Assistant Secretary respectively. Thanks also to those that are stepping back from their roles next season. Andrew Tenni President, Peta Hill Secretary, Kon Dalianis Vice President and Marc Vangelista Football Director. Andrew, Peta, Kon and Marc have put in a huge amount of effort of the past few years in their roles. The club thanks them for their outstanding efforts. As can be seen, there are a number of familiar names that appear. There are still a number of roles that remain outstanding so it would be great to see some more new names getting involved. The Committee will work over the coming months to seek help to fill those roles. If anyone wants to express interest in taking on a role, please make contact with Jodie at [email protected] . One role in particular that remains outstanding and has to be filled as soon as possible is that of President. The club’s former President Andrew Tenni is stepping back next season as he is unable to commit to being available in 2021 to undertake the role as it needs to be. This provides a great opportunity for someone else to lead the new, enthusiastic committee. If anyone is interested in taking on the role but wants further information or to discuss the role first, they can make contact with Andrew Tenni. The role of President is critical to the club and needs it to be filled ASAP. The committee will meet next on 10 November 2020 to get started on the organisation of a big 2021 season for GJFC. In the meantime, take care and stay safe. Kind regards, GJFC 2021 Committee

08.01.2022 UPDATE ON 2020 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Dear GJFC, I hope all our families are safe and well.... The 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held Tuesday night virtually via Zoom which was very different. At the meeting, the following were approved; The club’s 2020 Annual Report The updated club constitution. An unfortunate outcome of the meeting was that there were no nominations for committee roles for 2021. In particular there were no nominations for the officer roles of President, Vice President, Secretary and Football Director. That means at this point, those roles are vacant. Filling these roles is critical to the club being able to operate and to start planning for the upcoming 2021 season. In order to fill these roles, a further Special General Meeting of the club will be scheduled for Thursday 8 October 2020 commencing at 7.30pm. The meeting will again be conducted online via Zoom. It is vital at this meeting that we get people to take up the numerous roles that need to be undertaken. I urge anyone thinking of getting involved to contact any member of the 2020 Executive Committee for a further discussion. We are only too happy to have a chat. If anyone wants to forward a nomination for a role prior to the Special General Meeting then please do not hesitate to send it to me at [email protected]. If you wish to attend the meeting, can you please advise me at [email protected], providing an email address for a link invitation to be sent to. Stay safe. Andrew Tenni.
06.01.2022 U13s played today’s practice against St Mary's match in great spirits. With mates on opposing teams it was a great to see all the kids with smiles at the end of the game. Greensborough RSL #AllMyLife
06.01.2022 A reminder that 2020 AGM is tonight at 7:30pm. If you would like to attend (via zoom) please advise Andrew Tenni via [email protected]
