25.01.2022 After a year of challanges the Riverina Greens took time out to enjoy eachothers company and nature at the number 9 beach in Australia #waggabeach. We wish you all the best for the end of year break, and a better future for us all in 2020.

25.01.2022 If we don't act now the daycare and early childhood sector is going to fail. Early childhood workers do a skilled and demanding job, and have close bonds with t...he children in their care. These centres and their skilled workers will be urgently needed to support return to work when this occurs. Supporting them now will make this possible. This means - ensuring ongoing Commonwealth payments - increasing state support to be commensurate with other jurisdictions in Australia, and - expanding the number of publicly owned centres (including by bringing failing centres into public hands) so this essential service can continue to be provided.

23.01.2022 Amazing in the last term of the Wagga council a councillor, who was a member of the Liberal party, argued that we should not support a local renewable energy project because renewable energy was reliant on public subsidy.

22.01.2022 Some good news for a Friday afternoon - today I was successful in ensuring that the Public Accountability Committee will have regular hearings to provide ongoin...g Parliamentary scrutiny of COVID-19 activity from Government. The first hearing is next Friday at 10am and as chair I will ensure meetings are broadcast live. In extraordinary times like this, public trust in decision making will be lifesaving. This is part of making that trust possible.

18.01.2022 I was very proud to represent The Greens NSW at The Australian Greens National Conference this weekend. We passed an amendment to our constitution to enable a F...irst Nations voting delegate to be elected by First Nations members across the country. The Greens proudly support the establishment of a representative body of First Nations peoples, such as the 'Voice to Parliament' and it's so important that we are walking the talk within our own organisation! 18.01.2022 Tomorrow the Liberals will push 1.8 million into poverty by cutting the JobSeeker payment by $300. Meanwhile the 25 richest Australians have added $25bn to their combined wealth during the COVID-19 pandemic.

15.01.2022 Another three good reasons why we need a federal anti-corruption commission (with teeth) to hold this shameful mob to account #FederalICACNow

12.01.2022 In consultation with Riverina Greens, Senator Mehreen Faruqi's office has prepared a piece on the Greens' analysis of student debt blowout at CSU. It was published in the Daily Advertiser last Friday and has been syndicated to various other regional outlets. 10.01.2022 The Parliament *unanimously* passed our motion calling for quality school libraries and teacher librarians in EVERY public school. We our libraries, and school students should have libraries they can love too!

09.01.2022 Thanks to my Greens colleague, Amanda Cohn, for sharing this beauty:

09.01.2022 We’ve put together an explainer about the new COVID-19 lockdown laws in NSW to try help explain what’s we now need to do - we hope this helps answer some of the... many questions you’ve been sending through :) Note that obviously this is not not legal advice and as you’ll see there are still quite a few questions outstanding and grey areas! 06.01.2022 Time to try a different approach?

06.01.2022 When our federal local member speaks remember this.

05.01.2022 NSW is burning and those in charge are COOKED.

03.01.2022 BREAKING: Both big parties just voted against Greens amendments to electoral laws to stop lobster lunch pay-for-access meetings, to cap all donations to $1,000/... year, and to stop dirty donations from fossil fuels, gambling, tobacco, big pharma, banks, defence, alcohol and property developers. But when Lib/Lab have taken over 100 million in big corporate donations since 2012, it’s no wonder they want the dirty dollars for their re-election campaigns to keep flowing. Democracy should NOT be for sale. Thanks to three of the crossbenchers for their support.
