11.01.2022 Today marks the anniversary of the loss of my Favourite Uncle. Uncle Chris. Its around 20yrs ago, I dont know the yr, but I can remember the phone call like it was yesterday. It was the first time Mental Illness had really 'impacted' me. My cousins lost their Dad, my Aunty lost her Husband, my Grandma lost her Son & my Dad lost his littlest Brother. That is probably the hardest to process, you can process your own grief, but seeing the grief of your loved ones is fucking har...d. Something that continues to this day. I can so clearly recall the last time I saw him, he was not well, but, he was especially concerned about me, I was having a tough time too, which I was trying to hide from him, as my troubles were insignificant compared to the black dog, but he still knew. The kindest, sweetest, funniest man you could meet, a real salt of the earth human. I normally don't post about today & of course I remember Uncle Chris throughout the year but he was a cracking bloke and today I wanted to honour his memory in a public way.
