21.01.2022 This week we said farewell to Georgie one of our Dump Truck Divas from our Development team. Originally from Birmingham in England, Georgie ventured to Australia in 2019 and started working with our vining and planting team in June before transitioning into the Earthworks role at our Qunaba farm. We caught up with Georgie for a quick Q&A before she left to continue her Australian adventure. Here’s what she had to say... Q: As a female working in earthmoving and agricul...ture, did you feel supported by your team members? A: I was overwhelmed with support from the whole team, from my day to day colleagues, through management and even those working in the office. I wanted to leave a good impression on not only backpackers but women in general. I was so impressed by our Manager Toby. He was the most down to earth, supportive and hardworking Manager I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. The dream team, which consisted of Bryan, David and I, will always hold a special place for me. They dealt with me 66 hours a week which is tough going for anyone. The whole team is a credit to Greensill, and you should be so proud of the community you’ve created. Q: What did you like about Bundaberg and staying in our region? A: Bundaberg has the best sunset from the pier I’ve seen in Australia. No matter how bad the weather was in the day, you could be reassured you would be blessed with the most beautiful sunset. Q: What has been your most memorable experience while you’ve been here in Australia? A: The most memorable experience in Australia was doing a sky dive over Airlie beach. It was something I have wanted to do since I was 15! Q: Is there anything left on your bucket list before you head home? A: Before I go home, I would like to travel to New Zealand, Fiji, Tasmania and through Asia and start ticking off a few more countries. The motto of the team was ‘no question is a stupid question’ which I really appreciated. When we asked Tayla who has influenced and motivated her throughout her career, she gives credit to the men who work by her side.
