23.01.2022 Making the roof as panels for our Kangaroo Valley A-frame house allows us to line the ceiling on a level surface in a dry workshop. The alternative is on-site to the outside of the hardwood A-frame, exposed to the element while on a 60 degree roof pitch. This makes it safer to work, removes the need for costly scaffold, allows us to work with greater accuracy and makes it possible to protect the internal lining boards from water damage until the roof metal is installed. . 04.01.2022 The day after the A-frames were lifted into place, the roof panels went on @aframekangaroovalley The panels were large to minimise junctions and clad on the inside with Spotted Gum lining boards. Pre-lining the panels was a huge advantage.
