25.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. As you know recently the City of Sydney approached us for our interest in recreating a market in Joynton Park. In the conversation they also mentioned a market in Green Square Plaza (near Library). Rotary has a meeting on Monday night to discuss and as our communities opinion in important to us, we are wondering what you think. It seems strange to have two markets so close together and if we put the effort in to start up the market again, would it... be a conflict or waste when the other one were to start so close together. We would love to hear your opinion. You also might like to have your say on the City link... Licence for a market in Green Square The COS invites your feedback on a proposal to grant a licence for a market at Green Square Plaza, Zetland. A range of proposals have been received for a market to operate on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The licence would be offered for an initial 12 months with the option to renew for up to 5 years. 18.01.2022 Earlier today, Westpac announced new measures to make digital banking safer for customers, including giving customers the ability to report abusive messages via online and mobile banking, and blocking inappropriate language from outgoing payments. The changes have been introduced in response to the growing issue of digital payment channels being used as alternate messaging services to send abuse and threats via the description and reference fields in payment transactions. This year we are planning some events and community engagements throughout Green Square and will keep you informed. We are still waiting on City of Sydney to advise on the new market tender at GS and also will be planning some exciting entertaining community events throughout 2020.
