Trauma Sensitive Yoga is welcoming to anyone that may want to deepen your connection with your own body. 05.01.2022 Happy month of March! This month our classes will be themed around the Muladhara chakra, or the root chakra. Sanskrit name - "Muladhara" = Root support... "Mula" = Root/ Origin / Esscence "Adhara" = Basis/ Foundation The Muladhara chakra is located at the base of our spine. Is connected with our right to exist, our right to belong. The root chakra determines, our sense of stability, of security, our survival centre, our basic needs. We will explore the root chakra, and our sense of grounding, connection to the earth, feeling supported, and nurtured. For me, I know Yoga has helped me to be mindful, has enabled me to remember to live in each moment, and not get too caught up in the busy mind-stuff, or constant chatter of the thoughts. Rather than fighting the currents of the wild ocean, to learn to surrender, go with them, and learn to ride the wave thats under me. Yoga has helped deliver me a sense of freedom through connecting with the body, and being able to be present.
