25.01.2022 Meet Melissa! Mel started with GFS in 2009 as a Sales Agent who moved into the HR department shortly after. After approximately 1.5 years in HR she moved into the Quality Assurance department as a team leader, quickly followed by a Senior QA Manager role. Mel spent 5 years in a department that she loved, but decided she needed a career change and wanted to work in an environment more aligned with her education, as a result she moved into the Corporate Affairs team as the CSR... and Communications Manager. Mel is currently in this position and has been helping the business give back to communities across the country through the realSpaces outdoor gym initiative. 25.01.2022 Meet Fallon! Fallon began her career journey with Greenstone Financial Services in 2011 as a Sales Agent. Hard work and determination, coupled with high results saw Fallon progress to Senior Sales Agent just over one year later. An opportunity presented itself a few months later which saw Fallon step up to a Sales Manager position with Greenstone. Fallon continued to work hard and obtain great results in this dynamic, fun and challenging role and was promoted to Senior Sa...les Manager 2.5 years later. Fallon currently manages the Direct Response Sales Department with a total of 45 team members. This year Fallon was named our Employee of the Year which she considers her greatest career achievement. Elie started with GFS back in August, 2012 and joined the team for a five week contract administrative role - before we knew it his infectious personality & can do attitude secured him a permanent position as HR Administrative Support. Since 2014, Elie has worked his way up in the HR department, whilst completing a full-time degree in management, and after a couple of years across various roles, he is now one of our HR Business Partners. ... 14.01.2022 Flashback Friday to our HR team visiting Ronald McDonald House last week to lend a helping hand. The team fundraised over $400, assisted with the RM House Christmas Stall on site and provided some clean up assistance in the house. Many hands make light work . Thanks for having us Ronald McDonald House - well be back!
14.01.2022 Today our Health and Wellbeing team collected 56 boxes (over 500kg!) of food donated by GFS employees for Foodbank Australia. Foodbank Aus is a non-profit organisation which acts as a pantry to the charities and community groups who feed the hungry. A big thank you to all our amazing employees to who donated to a worthy cause this Christmas!
