21.01.2022 Solar panels are generally pretty tough, but there are limits to what they can handle as demonstrated by the aftermath of freak haistorms on Saturday in parts of South East Queensland. Please do the following to check whether your solar panels are affected with hailstorm; Vissually inspect your solar panels from the ground if they are visible, do not access the roof if its damage after hailstorm. ... Check you inverter screen for any error message, immediately shutdown your inverter if you see any error code on the screen of your inverter. Shutdown procedure can be found near the inverter or Solar Users Manual that you received with Proof of Purchase documents. Solar Panels are considered to be part of your building, so they should be covered by a home and contents insurance policy as long as it is within the building sum insured.
