24.01.2022 BASKETBALL IS BACK!!!! We have been in discussions with the Broadmeadows Basketball Association regarding the commencement date of the domestic competition. An email is being sent to Team Managers from our registrars regarding some date options, along with additional information including the move to online payments, changes to door fees and team sheets. If you have not already, please download the Broadmeadows Basketball Association free app through the app store or goog...le play under "Broadmeadows Basketball". This will be used for emergency communications and you will also be able to access your PlayHQ profile and see game times etc through the app. We are still waiting on some finer details including attendance limits and will communicate that information as it comes to hand. 24.01.2022 Last Friday night, in line with government recommendations with regards to COVID-19, Basketball Victoria announced that all games and programs would be suspended until further notice. The Broadmeadows Basketball Club quickly followed and cancelled all domestic games and training at the stadium. We are also suspending all training at the Recreation Centre until further notice. We will be following the directives of both the Hume Council and the BBA and will keep you updated as new information comes to hand.

22.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE : RETURN TO BASKETBALL. Please find following some important announcements from Broadmeadows Basketball Association regarding the return to Basketball. Broadmeadows Basketball Association has introduced a Back to Basketball Domestic Tournament on Saturday 4th and Saturday 11th of July, prior to the start of the new domestic season. Team Managers/Coaches have been forwarded the details from the Club. Any questions or concerns, please contact your Team Manager or relevant registrar. Attached is also the upcoming season schedule for your reference. Please also familiarise yourself with the Basketball Victoria rules and regulations regarding the return to Basketball. 20.01.2022 A message from Broadmeadows Basketball Association following the exciting announcement from the Government Starting this Sunday Broadmeadows Basketball Association will be commencing their outdoor Rep Ready and Budding Broncos programs for all current and aspiring Junior Broncos leading up to tryouts later in the year. See below for more information and to register now. Places are limited so get in quick!... We will have more announcements in the coming days regarding domestic competitions, development programs and the re-opening of Broadmeadows Basketball Stadium next month.

19.01.2022 UPDATE We are hoping for a re-commencement to Junior Domestic on 18 July 2020. We are awaiting guidance and instructions from Basketball Victoria and the BBA and will provide you with information regarding training and competition details once available. 16.01.2022 In line with the update from the Premier this morning, we are pleased to announce that the Greenvale Recreation Centre will reopen from tomorrow afternoon for all domestic training. Please note that masks remain mandatory in all indoor facilities. Players over 12 years and Coaches are required to also wear masks to and from training. We look forward to seeing you back all on the courts.

15.01.2022 With the return to Basketball this week for many domestic teams, please find following some information from Broadmeadows Basketball regarding new rules and conditions of entry into the venues. All team managers will be sent details of these new rules over the oncoming days, however we ask that you read through the following slides in preparation of your child's return to the courts. Safety is our priority and therefore we appreciate your assistance and understanding.

13.01.2022 Due to COVID restrictions, this year’s AGM will be held online, Thursday 15 October 2020 7:30pm-8:00pm. You’ll find the zoom link to our 2019-20 AGM below. The AGM needs to be held to close out 2019/20, a requirement to maintain our position as an incorporated association. Furthermore, given the interruptions we've encountered during 2020, all current committee positions will be carried over until the 2021 AGM. Please be sure that this does NOT in any way diminish the ability... for a member to nominate or contest a position, whatever the case may be. 12.01.2022 Please find following update from the BBA in regards to the Junior Domestic Competition: While our strong preference was to conduct the Summer Season finals series for our teams, the ban on staging events where 500 or more persons would be present, means that we are unable to go ahead with those games. Accordingly, the Summer Season has officially been closed off as at 7 March 2020 and we will declare those teams that finished on top of their respective competition ladders a...t the end of the regular season as the Champions for that particular Grade of competition (boys and girls). We strongly encourage our Junior Domestic Clubs to continue to complete their player registration and team entries for the 2020 Winter Season. The completion of those formalities will enable us to (within the prevailing health and government requirements) prepare draft competition fixtures for the Winter season in a timely manner after the up-coming school holidays and Easter break.
