24.01.2022 As part of our Children’s Week celebration many children and their families enjoyed a bilingual storytelling session featuring the book ‘Friend Like Mine’ writt...en by Australian author, Samantha Warne. Thank you to our partners Diversitat and City of Greater Geelong for making this Children’s Week activity possible. The Afghan/English and Karenni/English sessions were an interactive way for children to prepare for bedtime during Children’s Week. #childrensweek #childrensrights #childrensactivities #geelong #colac #BCYFstrongertogether #childrensbooks #diversitat

23.01.2022 Here at Greenville Kindergarten we like to give back to our local Community. Help us give back to our community this Christmas through the Geelong Giving Tree Appeal. This year’s appeal is a bit different. Instead of dropping off a gift to us, you can donate online anytime until December 1. Together, we can help Bethany Community Support raise $100,000 for local families in need. It’s the first time in 20 years that Bethany Community Support has asked people to donate funds,... not gifts to the appeal. That way we can keep everyone COVID safe. Funds raised will be converted to gift cards, and provided to families and individuals being supported by BCYF, Bethany, Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre and four other community groups in Geelong. Donate online now: geelonggivingtree.org.au #GeelongTogether #GeelongGivingTree

16.01.2022 In preparation for Children’s Week we asked our families to talk to their children about connection. How do you connect with your family and friends? With th...is question in mind children were encouraged to take part in our virtual art exhibition featuring artwork illustrating their idea of connection. Art expression is a way for children to communicate their feelings and thoughts, to have a voice through illustration about their experience and to share it, rather than hold it inside. As parents/carers we can be witness and hear their story in picture which encourages conversation and builds connection within your family. Take a look at some of the highlights from our virtual art exhibition! #childrensweek #childrensrights #childrensactivities #geelong #Colac #BCYFstrongertogether
