21.01.2022 A big thank you to the lovely councillor Sarah Richards for all her hard work not only over the past couple of weeks but for the last year! For being a voice to the people of the Hawkesbury and listening to the guys that know the land who have the knowledge and experience of what needs to be fixed going forward. We were fortunate to have minimal property damage compared to the state of our road and other turf farms. Though there are items that need to be raised to prevent ...losing the amount of turf such as adequate drainage to ensure flood waters drain out quickly, discussion of warragamba dam levels and raising the dam wall, turf that can assist with erosion. 90% of the Turf that supplies Sydney metro and surrounds comes out of windsor! We thank you Sarah for your time and visiting our farm yesterday.

Our standard site prep includes: - Application of roundup to kill existing weeds and turf - excavation & removal of dead weeds/grass to a depth of 75mm. - New soil from @vermontsandandsoil - added Sir Launcher fertiliser which is a starter fertiliser ... - Level out and install new turf of your choice. - and of course site clean up We are installing TifTuf Bermuda here as we recommended TifTuf to be the best suited for Veruna’s area based on drought tolerance and the area has full sun!
