24.01.2022 Hope everyone's having a great Easter weekend. We started off with a beautiful Good Friday at the Masons Falls picnic area, where we shared communion before a BBQ lunch and a walk to the falls for those who were up to it. It was lovely being in the midst of God's wonderful creation and reflecting on what Jesus has done for us on the cross. His love has gone way beyond what we might comprehend. Tonight we are back at 960 Main rd Hurstbridge as usual for our 6.00pm Easter Sunday service as we focus on the reality and blessings of the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead. You are of course welcome to join us.

19.01.2022 HURSTBRIDGE OP-SHOP update EDIT: We have closed the Op-Shop and the Reuse Shop temporarily. Thank-you. We have decided that Hurstbridge Op - Shop will not be open in the usual way right now. Instead, for now, we're having a pop-up Op-shop! The normal store will be closed, but we will have a street pop-up, focussing on selling items we think will help in this time of isolation. Books (kids and novels), games, toys, jigsaws, movies, whatever we could find to help.... We are not accepting donations at the moment. Thank you wonderful community. We love you. 18.01.2022 We're excited about the Wattle Festival tomorrow! The op-shop will be open, and we are have a Green Wedge Coffee Lounge as well! There will be FREE coffee, baked goods & live music Enjoy the festivities!

17.01.2022 -REUSE SHOP UPDATE- We want to thank everybody on behalf of the Reuse shop and Green Wedge Christian Community for your support over the last 13 years. As I'm sure you know, we are so blessed to have fantastic staff over there. We want to make a special mention and thank-you to Galen and his hard work over the last 10+ years. ... Due to the roadworks and creation of a new entrance into the depot we have to close the Reuse shop for a time. The church and op-shop will still operate as normal! Our last day of trading at the reuse shop for the year will be Monday 6th of August 2018. We fully intend to open again. Looking forward to a fresh start hopefully early in the new year. Our Christmas service this year will be at 10am in the Park (next to the primary school) If it’s cold or rainy, we’ll move inside at 960 Main Rd ... 15.01.2022 Hurstbridge Op-Shop Update: We have loved being open for the last few weeks, seeing our wonderful customers again and being in the community that we love so much. Unfortunately, with the second lockdown, we are now closed temporarily. We have created a ‘free books’ bookshelf out front (near the beautiful wattle tree), so please enjoy and take! We can't have one in person this year, but we hope you enjoy this, as we celebrate, remember, pray, worship, learn and take communion together. 10.01.2022 We would love you to join us for a Good Friday Service in the park! There are four local churches who are coming together and putting on this event. We are really excited, and looking forward to worshipping together, hearing the Easter message, drinking coffee (there will be a coffee cart!), and so much more! It is at Ferguson's Paddock in Hurstbridge (near the tennis courts), from 10-11am on Good Friday, the 2nd of April 2021. ... This event is in alignment with local, government and Covid restrictions. Please bring a chair or rug to sit on. Everyone is welcome! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact any one of the churches involved. 07.01.2022 We have been here 25 years, and to celebrate, we're throwing a party! We have loved the last 25 years and being in the community of Hurstbridge. We would love to see you on Sunday June 3rd at 960 Main Rd Hurstbridge (next door to the op-shop!). There is an assortment of things to be a part of, including putting your handprint in paint on our window, balloon animals, face painting, popcorn machine, henna, free BBQ lunch, door prize, games, prophetic art workshop, speeches (...and cake!), church service and a pot luck dinner! We are very excited and would love to see you there.

06.01.2022 We are excited to announce that Green Wedge Christian Community is finally meeting in person again!! Our first service back is this Sunday! We have missed you! Our space capacity is 14 people, so you must let us know if you're coming please, by calling or texting Peter.... We are running two services, one at 10:30am, and one at 12pm. Upon contacting Peter, he will let you know what service has space available. We will still be producing an online service, but we’re still working out the details! It will probably mean a ‘rough cut’ of our service, emailed out later on Sunday. We hope it is a continued blessing and encouragement to those of you who won’t be joining us in person for whatever reason at this time. There will be some changes, naturally, and we need to ask you to please wear masks, socially distance, and (sadly), not hug in accordance with our Covid Safe plan. We will also get you to sign in upon arrival, and we will clean/sanitise the premises between services. We will also not be having a time of coffee and bikkies afterwards. 02.01.2022 Merry Christmas everyone! We've had such a wonderful year with you all, thank-you! To our wonderful staff and volunteers, thank you so much. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without you and we appreciate it so much. ... To our customers at our shops-we love you! Thank you for shopping with us. It is a pleasure to often hear comments about how much fun people are having at the shop, and to share in your lives in some way This year our biggest 'events' have been having our 25th birthday party (wahoo! ) and having the Reuse shed temporarily shut. We will be in communication soon with more updates. Christmas is very special to us here at Green Wedge Christian Community, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, God incarnate.
