22.01.2022 Our Vice President Bec, has emailed you all today with details of the Netball WA 2020 raffle. Please take the time and purchase tickets online (and remember to choose Greenwood Netball Club @ Wanneroo Districts Netball Association) 60% of the cost of tickets allocated to GNC come direct to the club and help us purchase equipment and put coaches through training (and as a result keep your fees low)

Our meetings are relaxed and friendly, we have wine/beer and post formalities, it's a chance to meet/catch up with others in our Netball family Don't be afraid of coming, we already have the main committee members nominated. Please send through the name & contact numbers of your volunteers as soon as possible. We have only received 1 volunteer for the remaining time slots. Thanks to Greenwood 7 & Greenwood 6. ... We need 3 more for the 5:45pm to 7:15pm and 2 more for the last timeslot 7:15pm to 8:30pm. Please either comment below or email Bec as soon as possible so we can all these time slots covered. 17.01.2022 Just thought I'd share a drill I've been doing with my 15s for the past couple of weeks. Working on game like passes (passing in front) and movements (pivot, change direction and driving). Also gives them a realistic idea of how far an accurate lob can be passed If you want to have a go, but need help, just let me know, happy to come to you at training and help out. Lisa

10.01.2022 Regrading has happened, so check my.netball for fixtures to ensure you are turning up to the right courts this week

10.01.2022 There has been a bit of chatter regarding the resumption of normal training courts and times. The plan was to reinstate the original training times with the ann...ouncement of Phase 5 restrictions. However as these have been delayed until at least August 1st, we have decided to leave the allocations as they are for the time being. Whilst we totally understand that the training conditions are not ideal, we have decided to wait until the State Government makes the decision on the date for the introduction of Phase 5. We hope that this will be made by August 1st. We will keep you posted as to any new developments. What we are trying to avoid is having to change these allocations multiple times. We have had reports of confusion/errors with training protocols so please see below: Top Courts: Enter Gate 2 and exit Gate 4 - Please do not open any other gates. Far Courts: Enter Gate 5 and exit Gate 6 - Please do not open any other gates. Entry gates are only opened 10mins before training commences for all timeslots. This means that whoever opens the gate will need to go back and lock the entry gate 10 mins after training has commenced. The gate will then be reopened by a club for the next timeslot. Exit gates are to be left unlocked until the last session has been completed. We are still in the get in and get out phase 4 rulings. As of June 30th Gate Volunteers are no longer required. Thank you for understanding.

10.01.2022 Spring starts this Wednesday, please read the information below: Gates: Games will still run under the Get In/Play/Get Out Policy... Gates will open 15 minutes prior to the commencement to the game. Please remember to social distance at the gates. It is recommended that your teams arrange to meet on the cricket oval or other open space and walk over together as a group. Parents/guardians may walk their children onto the courts but must then leave immediately. Parents must wait outside the gates for their children at the conclusion of their games. For players playing on Courts 1 27; Entry is at Gate 2 and the Exit is Gate 4. Courts 28 57; Enter at Gate 5 and Exit at Gate 6. Ten minutes after commencement of the games, the gates will be closed and late comers will not be admitted. Spectators: Each team is permitted 5 spectators, this INCLUDES your scorer along with your Coach and Manager. Players may be escorted to the court by their parent/guardian but they are not permitted to stay as a spectator. Timing: All games will be centrally timed with 10 minute quarters. Teams are still encouraged to have a score checker present in place of a timer. Scorecards: Scorecards are still to be collected from the canteen window, the scoring team is responsible for collecting and returning the scorecard. In the case of a Bye vs Bye game, the team from the higher division is responsible for the scorecard collection.

Injured players are also included in the 10, so please ensure you manage your numbers I had to kick some Greenwood spectators out on Saturday and it is not a fun job
